If you want to laugh together with your children, get some books from the Junie B Jones series by Barbara Parks! She is hilarious! May even be good to read to the elderly shut-ins, I'm gonna try it out on my Grandma. Laughter is good medicine.

my five year old boy loves junie b. His kindergarten teacher reads them to the class and they're received with great enthusiasm... I read one to him tho and he wasn't quite as into it when it was just boring ol' mommy reading it....
