never heard of bmg. sounds cool. i know about cd baby though, where you can find things you might not be able to elsewhere, and a lot of indies do seem to prefer to sell through. what you do with music is what i used to do with sf paperbacks. when i had even a little cash flow i tended to amass (and very definately read, only reason for doing so) them. =^^= .../\...
I buy certain cds. You can download and download all the damn music you want. Still you miss something the you didnt get on the album. When i buy a cd i listen to it all the way through. Plus iv downloaded music in my past and everytime i eventually lose my computer to some spyware.
Today I bought Aqualung by Jethro Tull, Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones, Love Over Gold by Dire Straits and the expanded remaster of Waiting for the Sun by The Doors.
I buy alot of cds. Mostly because the quality of sound is top notch and they dont scratch as easy as burned ones. I also like supporting bands and also listening to a burned cd and then the same cd purchased, It just feels better listening to the bought one.. I'm sure you understand where im coming from. I just got an I-pod connector for my cd player and I download songs and stick it on there. But from time to time I still go buy a crap load of cds.
i forgot about that. i certainly do too. and empty dvd's. to make backups of all the stuff i create and a good deal of the stuff i collect/accumulate that i enjoy seeing and hearing. but mostly the most recent tools to make stuff with and my repitoir of bits and pieces created with and to use in them. more immages and software then music, as i don't really have a good way at preasent of creating music of my own. just pichers. and imaginary world making stuff to make pictures of and in. =^^= .../\...
