I don't think they have them. You would probably need to rip the music from the DVD with a special program and copy it to a CD. Why not just get an mp3 player that doesn't need discs?

Digital media players have too much DRM (Digital Rights Management) bullshit on them to be considered safe, I'd get a really good cd player with anti skip (I found a really compact RCA with 60 second antiskip for $70) and convert from your dvd archives to cd as needed. You'll enjoy better audio quality, less big brother tracking, and you'll be able to laugh at the people who payed $200 for a digital music player that plays stripped down versions of what you're enjoying. (only you can prevent totalitarian technology saturation) :D

    Party on

DRM isn't on mp3 players, it's only on the audio tracks that you buy from some online music stores. A lot of companies have stopped using DRM on their music becuase the consumers got all mad. I think even Apple stopped using DRM.

When I played around with digital media players I used to hack the firmware and try to improve on it, several brands I played with had code in the firmware that communicated with some upload/download program and gave it information about the tracks on the player AND when they were uploaded (what's wrong with that man it's just the track list) in some cases sure but why even risk it for inferior sounding music? seems silly to me.

I've never heard of that. Wouldn't any firewall pick that up? They aren't controlling how many times I copy the music with just that. Whether or not they send info across the internet I'll stick to my mp3 player. I'd rather have all of my music on one player rather than on tons of CDs not to mention the bulky CD player. And at 320 kbps there's really not much difference from the CD quality, even if you do hear a difference you can still get an mp3 player that plays lossless files.
