High or Stoned?

Hey, ive been seing some coffee shops menus in amsterdam online and... look at this:

now pls tell me the difference between high and stoned...!!!!!!! ?? :&

 

like when ur high its more of a baoday and u feel like doing anything high liek i liek that when im going snowbaording over stoned when ur slummed out and jsut wanna lay down and listen to music and stufflike you know when ur high an all giddy and laughing and hungry and then stoned sitting in a chair concentrating on trying to make a chocolate bar fly or something hahah

 

High is when you're still concious and you can function perfectly normally, but you're definitely different. Like, a hell of a headchange. Stoned is like WAWAWAWAWAWAWWAWAWAWA effects in your head and oyu're seeing shit and you're completely zonked. Yeah. When you're stoned the word "Zonked" comes into play.

I am so ready to try the NYC Disel. I am going to Amsterdam from November 23-29. Been over a year since I have been, and damn I miss it.

 

As you preobably know, there are two types of marijuana. I think types is the word. Anyway, there is sativa and indica. Indica marijuana grows short and dense, with tight and packed buds, and a "bushy" growth associated with it. This pot gets you stoned, all chilled and relaxed, just dreamna nd thinking. Then there is sativa, which is just the opposite, the buds are light and fluffly and the plant grows long and tall, somwhat spindly. This pot gets you high, giggly and happy, what the dare officers call "euphoric." If your goin to amstedam defiently tell us, we can point you in the right direction. The Damprinkg menu you have there is actaully right in front of me. The best indica strain ont here is probably ak47 and eidlewess. the best sativa i think is oceans 12 haze, very expensive and runs out quick.

 

Well.... I live in Amsterdam New York () and don't have to go to Holland for diesel. If Sativa is your thing then you're going to enjoy it a lot.

 

thrawn and Stalkz have it right (to my knowledge at least).

High is like ... you can function normally, hold conversations (i.e. you don't forget what you were saying in the middle of a sentence), you don't hallucinate or anything, but everything just seems that much better.

Stoned is when you just can't function normally ... you see/hear shit, or imagine things that aren't happening, you forget things constantly, and that's when you lose most of your motor skills.

I remember the last time I was stoned (which is usually the next step after being high, if you smoke more), I was standing out with my friends in the woods, and just had my eyes closed listening to them talk, and then all of a sudden, I'm just like "AAHHHHohhhh, SHIT!" and I pull my medieval ring off my finger and pass it to a friend, going "oh shit dude, it's HOT AS FUCK, it's burning my finger off!"

Now, that's what being stoned is like. =P

Either way, apparently when you smoke sativa strains, being stoned is a lot less common; instead, you tend to think a lot, and have a lot of crazy realizations and that sort of thing. It's usually a lot more mellow and less physically intense, but a LOT more mentally intense, to the point where some people consider it euphoric. So, yeah.

Again, this is based only on what I've gathered from other people and my experiences.

But yeah. Word, I almost always smoke sativa, because I'm not really a fan of the whole "Stoned like a rock, dont want to move or do anything ever because I'm so fucking heavy" Indica thing.

If you dont grow it, its very hard to tell if your getting sativa or indica from some shady street dealer. at least here it is. you get what you get.

 

no i think teh definitions here are skewed and very innacurate. it appears more that the only one with a good description is thrawn. Sativa is THE strain for hellucinations and crazy tripping. Some of you have made high out to jsut be 'buzzed' as many of us like to call it. that usually happens when you smoke a little bit of weed. In a way ill try to add to the definition

High, your mind is racing and active, you are happy, everythign is active, your stimulated and very creative. hard to concentrate on one thing caus new thigns pop out of everywhere. This sorta person is high and this is great for doinga ctivities, partying, playing games, etc.

Stoned, your mind is still full of thoughts, but theyre more focussed. the thoughts are thoughtful and you can loose track of everything except the thign your looking at. stoned gets you lazy, and wanna jsut sit and enjoy your comfort and pleasure. this sort of person is stoned and likes to sit around watching movies, listening to music, having a meaningful and/or personal discussion, pondering lifes many questions.

Of course all effects cross over, there is no definative barrier. both contain the the same chemicals, its jsut the ratios of chemicals are different, and the effects of the weed are prioritised differently.

The same weed can also cause different effects ratios in diferent people or different situations too.

Being a plant, and being natural, tehre is no way to definitively define the types of being ripped. So these are jsut generalisations.

 

Around here it's sort of a scale of highness.

Stoned


I guess it's just a way to communicate between stoners what they're feeling, but as far as I know, stoned is always stronger than high. In the context that menu seems to use, though, it seems as if a "stone" would be like just lazy, mellowed out. HIgh would be more energetic. That's the general consensus on the difference between indica and sativa, and a lot of the ones they use "stone" on are indica.

I didn't say sativa doesn't blow your mind, because it does, and it does mine all thet ime. It just doesn't make it so I don't want to move or be awake. Indica make me pass out, Sativa lets me have fun.


But yeah, thrawn, I know where my weed comes from. I see the plants, I know what dried sativa looks like, I know what certain strains are like, etc. I dont just buy from some fag off the street.

i think most kinds of pot are a mixture of indica and satavia.

i've been smoking diesal for about three months now. i love it! soon it might stop getting me high. and i know the shit is diesal for sure.

Yeah, around here high is "less high" than stoned. But we go above stoned. We got to fried and bjued. Bjued is basically where your fucked beyond belief and have to have someone else work the shotgun on the bong. However, there was this one time, the time i got the highest ive ever been, when my brother described me as "high". But there was something to the way he said it that it fit perfectly....better than stoned or bjued. just high.

Most weed i see is generally a combo of strains from indica and sativa. I think ive only seen buds from an indica only strain once. I dont think ive ever seen sativa buds alone.
