I usually take two slices on bread, put cheese on one slice and then sprinkle some garlic salt on top of the cheese, and then close the sandwich. Depending on how lazy I'm filling, I'll either butter the outside of the sandwich and throw it on the George Foreman Grill or just microwave the sandwich until the cheese is melted. I'm not sure if that's the same kind of effect/flavor you want, but it is delish!

Ahahha. I'm so wicked excited. I got one of those oldschool sandwich/grilled cheese makers for like $2 at the thrift store.. That thing is incredible.

I've found I like making a garlic-infused oil and brushing that on the outside of the bread.... if I have the time. then I throw in some more garlic..minced.. inside with the cheese.

If thats no good, I just put garlic salt inside the sandwich and on the butter. ahhhaha. I'm a little excessive with it all.

My hsuband will only eat grilled cheese if it has garlic so i quickly learned how to make it fast and good. I melt some butter in a skillet and sprinkle garlic powder in the butter. Let it simmer (very low heat. scorched butter is nasty!) and then put the sandwich in the pan and proceed as usual. On a side note tho, has anyone ever tried putting a little corned beef or a sweet pickle in the sandwich before cooking? Deeeelish!

I mix garlic and "packaged" grated parmesan/romano (e.g. kraft) in with butter or margerine. coat three slices of bread on one side each. I place two slices of cheese inbetween each layer (its a double decker sammich). goes well with tomato soup. hmmmmm I wonder if Bella has cooked anything for dinner yet......

Mine take me 2 minutes to make. I use colby jack cheese.

Butter both sides of both pieces of bread, put cheese in middle, and lightly sprinkle garlic salt on one of the inside buttered pieces of bread. Cook on stove until cheese is melted, then eat!

    I had it 2 days in a row :p

I always use real garlic in everything, I'm particular about that.

    My garlic grilled cheese:

2 slices of white bread. Alternate slices of mozerella (sp?) and cheddar between them. Then, I mix together a tblsp of olive oil + 1 clove crushed garlic + 2 tblsp softened butter or salted margarine, and cover the outside of the sandwich, and grill in a teflon pan until it's good and toasty. It works best if you cover the sandwich while the first side toasts, so that the heat stays in and better melts the cheese. Then I get a bit of hot sauce for dunking it... yurm....

I don't do a garlic grilled cheese, but I do slice an onion and do an onion grilled cheese. It's yummy.

And then I'll do this other one with mozarella. This little place we get pizza at has these little spice packets they throw in with every order, and they are awesome. Instead of putting them on the pizza, I save them in the fridge. I put a half one on the inside of two grilled cheese sandwiches, and brush the outside with a little olive oil or melted butter and then sprinkle the rest of the spice packet on the oil. Then, I cook them on low heat so that the mozarella melts up really gooey and my god! They're awesome!!
