anybody who has an industrial how long did it take for it to heal.... I had to take mine out because a yr. had went by and it just wasnt healing right now I got the itchin to get something done again
ive heard they can take a really long time. ive havnt had my ear cartilage pierced, but my advice would be to do regular aftercare (sea salt soaks are most important, use mild, natural soap in the shower) for a few months or untill it doesnt feel tender or sketchy, then apply tea tree essential oil with a q-tip (you just need a drop) once or twice a day. if the tea tree makes it hurt, its not ready. once a day or every few days, put a little bit of emu oil or avocado oil or other nice carrier oil on it and rub very gently. the tea tree is antiseptic and heals piercings expremely fast. its what saved all my piercings. too strong for fresh piercings though. the oil is because the tea tree will dry out the skin surrounding your piercing. again, not good for a fresh piercing because it will hold random dirt and stuff to your piercing. good luck if you decide to get it again the above aftercare is what really works for me and my body does not like piercings.
thanks for the info..... i loved my industrial and I had em get me as vertical as possible cause i like the way it looked but it was puttin alot of pressure on ear and eventually my piercer put to rings in instead of the bar but to no avail I think this time maybe it would be smarter just to start with the two rings?
mine is about a year now, and its just starting to calm down. its been pretty good but was pussing frequently and itchy. i kept it through it and now its fine. I dont recommend using two loops, because then the bar you eventually put through will be at a different angle, it your getting it for industrial, get the bar and stick with it. getting that peirced was intense, i almost pass out during shots at the doctor, dont know how i got through that. best of luck
ive had mine for about a year now. i thought it was completely healed, nothing was wrong with it, didnt hurt, no infection, no keloids or anything had happened. then i started getting a cold a couple days ago and the second day into my cold, i noticed my industrial is starting to get infected a lil. so it takes quite a long time for it to heal.
