If you already have not been exposed to these local powerhouses, you need to get on them NOW!!!

Back 40: Some righteous funkgrass from the Ann Arbor area.

Covert Operations: String Cheese, GD, Phish, Santana thrown in a blender. From the Flint Area

Jam Samich: Prog Rock out of the Waterford Area

Macpodz: Disco Bebop out of Ann Arbor.

They all put on some killer live shows, you gotta see to believe.

check out blue black hours- heavy groove oriented psychedelic rock. reminiscent of old Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath, but with a fresh sound. lot's of jam/improv.

they're playing the Hamtramck Blowout 2008 on Friday and play a couple times a month in the Detroit area.
