I don't think many people here do that. most decently intelligent folks know the tabloid stuff is utter crap. with that said, true astrology, which takes into account asc, moon and planets (and even asteroids) is a pretty complex subject and is why I enjoy it.
The charts say my fiancee and I am a perfect match and have the hottest sex out of any combo and it is sooooooooooooo true.
i didn't even know that my boyfriend and mine signs aren't compatible; and we are deeply in love! so, i guess it doesn't really matter.
I agree, it's silly. But it does make a few good pointers on the basics...like a sort of "what to watch out for" guide. My lovah's an aquarius, I'm a taurus, and our biggest pothole is that I'm the jealous type and they're way too flirty/spontaneous. It's not a relationship killer, but I knew going in that it's like that... So the compatibility things are accurate in that sense. To a degree. They tell you what you might need to work on in your relationship.
Not knowing something about the partner you plan to invest your time, energy and emotions in is nothing less than blind dating, lacking your partner's potential. And that's astrology, it's all about potential. Knowing the potential negative and positive expressions of any sign. When I was in India some time ago I happened to look at the relationships wanted columns of the newspapers there, and just about every ad that was placed stated in no uncertain terms: Please send your horoscope for consideration. Now THAT'S maturity, in my books. But in India they pervert the value of astrology as they are looking for a husband with the potential for making lots of money and providing well for them, love being a less secondary nature. But hey! That's rather easy to decipher, just make sure there's plenty of earth in that chart. Unfortunately most people already involved with someone else won't look up their partner's placements until it's too late, once the emotional involvement is in place, you are not going to change this person's mind, no matter what they read about them. I've always rented out a room in my house and I ALWAYS look up their placements before I let them in the door as I want a harmonious relationship with that person as long as he or she is under my roof. Being in Las Vegas, call me generalistic if you want, I don't no runaway gambler in my house, so even though I may be ruling out some very fine people, I look at Sagittarius or Leo in their charts as red flags, as these signs are found in the charts of gamblers. And I'm NOT talking Sun sign either. And so far, over 12 years, I haven't had one person under my roof that has any inclination towards gambling in their off-hours. If I were to look at a potential mate, I would insist we share negative moon signs as that can be the biggest contributor to a harmonious relationship, AND looking at our Venus and Mars signs for sexual compatibility and discerning if this person is going to be loyal and dedicated and not promiscuous. But there is, admittedly, a geat adventure and excitement in blind dating, not know just who you are ultimately involved with. And this will be more attractive to those who love a good challenge in their relationships (Aries, Scorpio MUST have a challenging relationship to keep things exciting). Just the idea of a smooth-sailing relationship will send these two signs burning rubber to get out of it.
I have dated all Libras and I am a gemini. I don't chose them by their sign, I ususally find out later. Libras are so magnetic to me and charming and attractive men. Even though they say Gemini and Libra are a perfect match, my husband and I have a love-hate relationship type thing going on sometimes. Oh well, it works for me because I get pretty bored easily and thrive on drama sometimes too much

This could also be because he has a scorpio moon and I have an aries moon- which leads to some heated arguements.
i dont chose who to be with because of their sign but after im with someone i do like to check out how they tick. i dont follow astrology too much but i do think that my aries sign explains me to a T. so y not nebody else..
Well I have sag in mercury, venus, uranus and neptune, as well as sun and pluto in house 9, and I have to say, at least in regards to me, you are wrong. I hate to gamble. My gf, as a leo asc, (sag) uranus and neptune in house 5 and mercury and venus in house 9 does not gamble either. You are right about one thing, as a scorpio sun, aries moon, I think I secretly like a little conflict in my relationships, but also like the feeling of resolving it too. sometimes I feel bad about starting the conflict after the fact. But at the same time, it makes things interesting. She is my opposite, as a taurus sun, which adds to it, but also her virgo moon is vastly different to my aries moon. Anyways, maybe you should simply ask the person of they gamble? Than maybe look at their chart and see if it is one of a liar? I would make a kick ass roomie, as long as you like good music.
www.justgoodtiming.com check this guy's site out. particularly the evidence page. alot of deep reading, but the thing is that it appears astrology is most accurate in predicting generalities of human behavior, not exactly what color car we will buy or if today is a good day to go on a shopping spree...
I am Aries, Virgo rising, progressed to Scorpio. I married two Virgos. Never again. Give me a Piscean woman any day, or at least a bitchy Virgo. Supposedly Libras are better mates than Virgos, for me. Logically, a head strong person should make a better match to a 'can't make up their minds' Libras, no? Why can't idealistic Aries be a good match for dreamer Pisces? Both are dreamers. All I would need is a well aspected Neptune to get along with a Piscean. As to insanity, the divorce rate is over 70% now. So, logically, knowing that you only have a 30% chance of finding a great mate, is in itself insanity if one decides to get married.
My soulmate is an Aries, I'm a Capricorn. Despite being deeply in love, we know we cannot live together or reconcile our completely different ways of life (mine being very planned, calculate, and ambition driven, his being more spur of the moment) to realistically ever plan on being together (I live on the East coast, he lives in the midwest). Whoever said love conquers all was mistaken. We didn't determine this through astrology though, just after we realized our problems, astrology just happened to make sense with it.
