Ok, so heres my thing. I am very, very, very interested in everything to do with the psychadelic experience. I spend most of my time thinking about spirituality, life and all sorts of philosophical pondering. Lucid dreaming is something I have been very into latley and trying to master. I love everything to do with that stuff everything and anythign to do with the mind and life and spirituality. I have a slight problem when it comes to psychadelic drugs however. I have not done any, and explained in my post here: http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=244436
I have Depersonalization Disorder and alot of problems with all of this sort of stuff. I have recently decided to try and really reach into my self and through all of this depersonalization bullshit find out who I truly am. So far I have found out alot about myself but I would like to travel further in this journey. I have wanted to do Salvia, but with its intense, short lasting, effects, , im not sure if it is the best thing for me. Also, my girlfriend had her first depersonalization experience on 20X and it kind of scared me. . I think someday depersonalization will not be a fear of mine at all, but I am not quite there yet. I still want to open my mind and travel the universe so to speak. I was wondering if Acid is for me. My friend has told me of how the constant general feeling aside from tripping, is similar to the feeling that you get for the duration of time after an orgasm. Complete, and uder relaxation of every muscle fiber. Can someone give me any ideas, or an evaluation of my situation, any tips or personal experiences with acid, and preferably depersonalization and acid together. Thank you to all of you in this great forum. :)

I'm not sure what it feels like to have Depersonalisation Disorder, but it sounds like LSD could potentionally make it worse. On the other hand, if its mostly fear related it might even help. I got over most of my fear disorders (I had a few) with lsd and mushrooms, they learned me how to feel what I was already thyinking, but I guess being affraid of contageous illnesses such as flu is not comparable to depersonalisation in any way..

I don't think there's any way you can know except doing it and thats always a risk.

acid could either help you or make your condition worse really, & since you havnt tripped before id be inclined to start off with something less intense, maybe a light shroom trip?

My gut reaction, after reading that you have depersonalization disorder, is not to trip on anything. But, it's just a gut reaction. As another poster said, it could help you get over your fears. Considering you have DP issues, I would probably start with shrooms though. I feel like shrooms have a little bit less DP and DR involved, and are a bit less "scarring" in case you freak out. Definitely steer clear of salvia, but that is just my personal taste, I don't see the point of salvia at all.

The thing is, I really really hate the thought of shrooms hahaah, they just seem gay to me. And my friends have all done acid and say its not really that intese and it more just feels good on one hit. Not so crazy, and they say its not really that much of DP or DR in there case. God I just want to figure out something to do!!

for what my unprofessional opinion is worth.,

As long as you are educated up on what will happen, read erowid, go to google, click on the scholar tab and search for papers on research of lsd etc. Find the facts, read about what to do if you do freak out, cos a bad trip can become a good trip if you have someone experienced and well balanced to guide you.

Realise that the problems you have in your life or mind, probably ARE the things that will become to the forefront, but just face the problems head on. The gift of lsd is that it lets you access your subconcious whilst conscious. If you can address these issues, talk them through with a close friend you trust, who can lead you to happier places should it get too intense, when you come down, you should feel a certain amount of closure.

Take a while before tripping again, give
yourself plenty of time to digest and learn about what your experience meant and then you will get the most benefit.

I think it will be fine, as long as you know the score.

But, make your own mind up after reading up. I read up for about 2 months before taking my first, and i have been a hardened "casual" user of many drugs over a ten year period. My drug philosophy changed after acid, for the better I may add.

    Peace

Why exactly do you really really hate the throught of shrooms? How do they seem "gay" to you?

It sounds like your friends are either immature or haven't done any good acid or much of it. To say that acid isn't that intense is like to say that childbirth isn't that intense... it can be a pleasant experience, and some trips are milder than others, but make no mistake, in general, is very intense hahaha

I would say there is more DP and DR on acid than shrooms, but I have limited experience with shrooms

Hey man I can definetly relate I used to have HPPD and mild derealization/depersonalization, thanks to mushrooms... Well I took some mush about 1 year after my first signs of this disrder and I had such a great trip. Here's a link telling of my story http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=237191 . My HPPD is pretty much gone (the odd hallucination) and my DP/DR disorder has shrunk significantly too... but still kinda lingers... psychedilics might be for you, but it can make your symptoms worse before they get better...
    there's this link too http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=235180...

either way there is a 50/50 chance u have a bad trip...i feel like all trips are a little scarey tho u just seem to be afraid of the world when on it...my advice...take one hit of really soft acid...it will get u the feelings with out the phsycedelic effects...like halousanazations(if thats how u spell it) and strange colors...if u were to do that tho u may be affected to strongly...so im gona agree to do a light shroom trip and if ur feeling good after about an hour into the trip (not taking the shroom) maybe take one or two more depending how one goes...of course thats just my opinion so good luck on w.e u figure out

    You are welcome.

But, and its a BIG BUT, I am not telling you to take it. Simply pointing out from my experiences that I think if used correctly it could help you. As I say , READ READ READ, then decide. Make up your own mind buddy
