apparently its supposed to be the end of the world, ancient egyptians apparently predicted it or some shit, but this was supposed to happen soooo many times. and why should i believe wut silly people from thousands of years ago who warshepped the sun (a giant ball of fire) and built large triangles in the desert think?
SAME ^^ i read about it, and it said its not THE END OF THE WORLD, only the end of the mayan calander, i think itll b the end of the old "world'" and just a new beginning, a new start, a fresh page, and i just think things will change drasticly from that point on ( from what i read) look up that date on google, and ull c u got nothing to b scared of, only something to b curious about peace
Last I checked, being an Egyptian aint what it used to be. maybe they got the predictions for themselves correct after all.
Here's the thing about the end of the world. If you die tomorrow, say from a traffic accident, or, if you die tomorrow because the world ends, what difference will it make? Once your dead, you aren't here any more. I imagine, the existance of the planet will be meaningless to you.

first of all, it was the mayans who predicted this, and their calender ends at 2012, they also predicted the world would end on december 21, 2012, look up mayan predictions, see for yourself. but for the most part i do believe this, to what extent the world will "end" i dont know, but i do believe that the world will be changed in some way.
I think it's just another excuse for people to worry. I actually found a website that was full of "ancient" apocalypse predictions, and there was almost one for every year! So think about that. Why stress over one date just because it's hip to talk and worry about? Who cares, just live your life and have so much fun that it wouldn't even matter if it DID end in December of 2012.

I heard this theory that December 2012 is in fact the end of the Mayan calender because the planets are suppose to allign like they haven't before, creating changes that would throw off the calender completely. So it's not the end of the world is it is just the literal end of the calender.
well if the planet do aline in 2012 like they say.. it could throw the tilt of the earth off but i ain't worrying to much about it cause if you spend your life worrying then you will never really have a chance to live

I have been researching this for about six months now and have been led to some pretty interesting places. I personally think civilization as we know it will end, technology of all kinds will fail and we will be thrust back to medevial times to start over and try to get it right this time. I also think it will be a chance for us to fix the damage we have do to the Earth. Sounds like hippy paradise to me, I can't wait. Later Dayz Niem

lol this idea has been going on since time began but i always find it interesting I like some of ur guy's view that its not the end its a change i especially liked Niemiways opinion sounds cool but WHO REALLY KNOWS???!
