Why not jog. Anyway, this thread is about a slurpie I had the other day. It's been several years since I had a slurpie, but I was unaware that they made full throttle slurpies. It was awesome. I got all my sugar and caffine high working. I think I'll get another one today. Also I'm bored, and don't have jui juitsu for another three hours. Which is the reason this may seem rambly.
Less impact than jogging, I guess. A slurpee sounds pretty good, especially since it is so warm right now. I used to always get the Icee ones from Kmart when I was little.
Well yeah, if you have sensitive knees or something it makes perfect sense. But otherwise, who knows. And yeah, the heat has been pretty oppressive. It's 100F right now. I'm just out of the range of a tropical storm, and I'm kinda regretting it.
i have to speed walk. a jog will put me in knee surgery in no time. though i jogged a mile on the eliptical today. took me ten fucking minutes, though. embarassing. mind you, that was after a half hour on the bike and one hour on the treadmill at the steepest setting. then i jogged ten minutes and did another 20 on another bike to cool off.
when you're speedwalking, it's really hard not to just start jogging. it'd be so much easier to just start running along. but when i speed walk, it makes my ass work really hard, as well as my hips and obliques.
Well yeah, you have a perfectly good reason KC. Knee problems or such, is perfectly understandable. But It seems a little silly if it's just an alt to jogging. My feet have a high arch, so I don't really run more then a mile at a time. I prefer to swim to exercise. less sweaty. But I can't make it to the pool enough, so it's jogging. That's a good routine you've got KC. I get my mile in 6:30. I can do faster, but it sucks.
a lot of females have problems running because of the Q-angle. hips and knee angle isn't made to do lots of running they can get in shape in other ways....but they shouldn't shy away from running, just incorporate a more balanced approach to fitness. and ya sweat plenty in the pool if you work hard enough, ya just don't notice haha. lose a lot of fluids, so its key to stay hydrated if your big on swimming. i always have water with me. especially when i was in the pool for 2+ hours and slurpie's... they're just amazing
Well yeah, of course, ya lose as much fluid. Not drinking enough is tres bad. I just like that I don't have to feel the seat on me. I've started up jui juitsu to make me a more balenced martial artist. You might find it fun fitz.
i have very nearly bowed legs and nearly flat arches. i'm built for long haul, not speed. strength, not agility. massive breasts, very wide hips and such don't make for the best runner. i used to try, but it would ust kill my lower body.
I'm rather fond of the martial sports. Let's you fulfill your primal urge of being a warrior. At least I have that urge.
