I was walking down the road with my girlfriend and she was knocked over by some bloke who was in a rush. He didn't turn around to apologise even. I am convinced that London is the most unfriendliest place. London-friendly my arse!
I went to london for a festival in hyde park and when i arrived i asked some police for directions to my hotel, to which they advised it was in an area they would not recomend a young girl goes to stay in on her own and gave me directions to a nicer area nearer hyde park and checked i was going to be okay finding it. whilt i was there or the rest of the weekend i found that all the people were really friendly and chatty so i got a really good impression from that.
felt right at home. i'm from the states and thought everyone was lovely here in the suburbs....amazed at how helpful and nice people were. then, i went into london....just like home.....another big city where people are too busy to smile....or talk or whatever....and agree with earlier statement of not being fake. in the states, people smile and say hello but if you were to ask for help forget it....they are really too busy just trying to be polite...or fake.
As far as England's concerned, London is probably one of the most unfriendliest places about followed closely by PLYMOUTH!
