I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm shitting my pants at the thought of hurricane Ivan coming this way. One more hit, and I might leave Port Charlotte for good. If he hits near us, we can't stay here, so I guess we'll run north to the Carolinas or something. This blows.
I know! This is some crazy stuff! I live in Tampa and was in Zephyrhills for Charley. Nothing really happened in my area with Charley. Then I went to NC to visit my family for a few weeks, so I missed Frances. My neighborhood saw some damage from Frances. My mother checked on my house and said the house is fine, but there are downed trees and telephone/power lines down. They didn't have electricity at my house for 2 days. Now...here comes Ivan. And I'll be missing that one too. At this point it looks like it will be hitting Tampa on Tuesday and I don't fly home until next Friday. Tampa is already flooded...so this is bad. I will probably come home to lots of flooding if not worse damage. I think all this hurricane stuff is a warning to Florida about the election. lol!
wow... three major hurricanes to hit the florida peninsula within a month! that has got to be a new record. think there is a message in all this? Matt said it perfectly... GET THE F*CK OUT OF FLORIDA!!! i wish i could!! just look at this shit... we're all doomed. plain and simple...
Matt, I live in Port Charlotte- about 3 miles from where Charley came ashore. My town, and Punta Gorda across the bridge are wrecked already. Punta Gorda was flooded by frances last week. Our powers only been on since the night of the 26th. We can't stand another hit. What's left of our roofs won't survive, and after they go, the walls will start coming down... I wish I was back in Vegas!
so i finally got power back from ivan on tues...some of my friends dont get it back till sat. and guess what you guys there's another one coming! bloody hell
Let me put it in Simple terms. I just KNOW you all remember Francis???? She's knocking on MY door today. Heavy rain, High Wind, Thunder & Lightning. What's it been? 4 maybe 5 days? I will accept the gift!!!! Ya'll sent her MY way. We don't get a lot of rain here. Our water supply is drying up because of light snow in the Rockies over the years. No Snow? No Colorado River. No River? Las Vegas goes dry. I am greatful.... Honest!!
