Hey everyone. I am looking into buying a serger and I'd like to hear your thoughts and opinions on the best ones. Whoever has one...what kind is it and are you satisfied? Thanks for the input
I started with a basic singer serger and it was fine to start out with and still works great. I upgraded to a speedylock that I bought from humblebee and it is awesome. After having it cleaned and a new needle plate (which it did in fact need to have replaced like she said) it is working like new. When I was first looking into buying a serger I wanted a simple one that would be easy to thread and wouldn't be intimidating. The singer was all that and more, I'm really glad I started with it but now that I'm not a novice I love the speedylock!! Hope this was helpful and if you are in the market for a simple singer I could probably be talked into parting with mine since it is basically collecting dust on my shelf now. I thought I would keep it as a back up but I haven't needed one! best wishes on your quest for a serger!
