I bought two works of his, but a few books that I've been looking for for awhile and found there...counter culture stuff...ones you'll never find in a regular bookstore.

I hear ya. I haven't been able to get my hands on a copy of Kerouac's 'The Dharma Bums' in any of our public libraries/bookstores.
Beat literature is taken for granted these days.

 

I just spent $70 in borders yesterday. If I stopped buying books, I'd probably be a millionaire in a few years.

Ditto. Shit is so expensive these days it's ridiculous. Twenty bucks will get me one item AT LEAST. It's crap if you ask me -.-

Lately I buy more from amazon.com then I do at the bookstores in Flagstaff. I don't get as much chance to roam around bookstores as I used to, so I probably spent 1/2 of my last paycheck at amazon

People with more money than me.
I love reading but am living as a volunteer teacher at the moment on 120$ a month.
