I grinded all the weed I got. Then put it back in my storage location. In something of course. I was wondering if it loses potentcy faster, or messes it up in any way, because I grinded it?

A friend said it erodes faster. That doesn't really sound right though.

well since it now has more surface area it will try out faster!!! It will not become less potent, but dry weed=hash hits. So if you are vaping you should be fine, other then that, get ready to caugh your ass off.

i agree, but i wouldn't say it would dry up really fast, or even faster than usual

when u grind the weed, all of that keif falls into the keif catcher. It does become a little less potent because that keif isnt in the weed anymore

it does dry out faster. think about it, it has more surface area exposed to the air. it like what woudl dry faster, a roll of paper towels dumped in water, or each wet piece of paper spread out.

Grinding increasing the surface area, which would allow more air to contact the THC and oxidize it faster, into lesser potent forms like CBNs, etc. So yes it would lose potency faster, though, probably not a big deal if the storage is only for short-term. It would be bad for long-term storage.

Ah damn. Well I'll have to keep that in mind. I'd like to believe it stays just as potent, and yea I smoked a bowl recently. It did make me want to cough a bit.

Also what's this vaping? I think I want to buy one!

Vaping is the act of vaporizing pot instead of burning it. Vaporizers range in price from $40 for a low-end "lightbulb and hose" style, to several hundred dollars for a Volcano, which is a high-end vaporizer.

Vape hits are much cleaner than any other hit you'll take, as the THC is in the air without any smoke. Most of the time you suck the "smoke" out of a hose or bag once it resonates in the chamber or bag.

the past tense of the verb "grind" is "ground," not "grinded"

as has been mentioned, it increases surface area and allows for oxidization to occur more easily over time, and it also knocks a lot of the resin glands off of the buds.

in my experience, though, there isnt a NOTICIBLE change in potency.

i recommend keeping it in a tin or a shallow jar rather than a bag or pill bottle or something after grinding. all the kief thats lost will remain in a place where you've got the ability to collect and smoke it afterwards, rather than have it stuck in a plastic bag or something. also, an airtight tin will help prevent undue drying out and oxidization to a small degree.

i tend to use cleaned out altoid sours tins for this purpose. after a quarter or half, you get enough kief in the bottom for a damn nice smoke! (thats with mids, less if you have good pot!)
