Hi, my Chief has entrusted me with t-shirts sale. We offer the Rock bands t-shirts now. But there is a problem. Our customers say that categorization of bands is a little bit wrong :( For example Black Flag is put to punk category. What do you think about it? What category will be the best for Black Flag? Goth, Metal, Pop Art, Punk, Rock?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Black flag were originally punk rock, but they evolved over the years into hardcore punk, they dabbled in metal and into straight up rock as well. They are best classified as hardcore/punk.

They were a great band. Saw them maybe 12 times, partied with them like 5 or 6. When Dez was with the band they were awesome. Once Henry jumpe din though, they went south in my opinion.

I think it was really hilarious when Henry started his own band. I went to a debut show they did at the Jockey Club. There were like 10 people in the place and he sucked.

    He still does.

Rollins sucking is a matter of opinion.

I've seen Rollins Band many times, and have never been let down.

    Yep..its a matter of opinion.

    A: keith morris.

yeah, put em under punk if you don't have a hardcore punk subdivision. the genre "hardcore" has evolved since, so mixing the pre-modern with post might not really flow with fans of either/or genres, might actually confuse em or start a mob, who knows what to expect from punkers these days.
