Can anyone suggest a good teacher or system to use for psychic training? Also does psychic ability help with spirituality or is it unrelated?
Hi Whirlstar We will see others as deeply as we see ourself. The key to psychic awareness, and sacredness of the spirit within us is as simple as they are profound. Any teacher you seek will speak only with the depth they have been willing to go within their own hearts, and lives. The more you open to your own understanding, and awarness of who you are, the deeper, and clearer you will see those around you. So start by knowing what it means to be true to you. Start by understanding the power inside you, and start by knowing to give that power away will add to much confusion. This is not about the wow, and phenomenology entertainment factor. This is about a way of life. Our spirits hunger for this awakening. There is much information out there so begin by finding what rings true for you. Then build on that. All things change so as you open, and grow within you, you will open and understand on a deeper level of awarness, and both the psychic ability, and spiritual within you will become more focused. Every one is psychic, and every one is spirit having a human experience. They key is within the focus, and awareness of where out intent, and desires, and integrity lay. We choose that direction. Many search, but as one woman said to me, "This learning about me with honesty, and openness is too hard, I just want to be zapped, and have it." The bottom line is no zap will make us what we want to be if we do not know who we are. So yes this quest is a way of life not a movie where we can entertain ourselves, or abuse ourselves for a while. This awareness is not about co-dependence, and or manipulation. This is about accountability, responsability, and growth within us. As you develope one strength you seem to develope a talent for seeing one way. To remain eclectic in nautre leaves you more room to change, and grow in the directions you choose to go. This is more than you asked for, but felt this needed to be said. The teacher will come into your life as you choose your direction, and begin your journey. Remember not everyone who professes to be a teacher, is, and yet all things are our teachers, experiences, and lessons as much as we are these things to the all.
Well said! A book that has helped many people is The Donning International Encyclopedic Psychic Dictionary by June Bletzer, Ph.D. She runs the Psychic Research Institute in Florida. This book not only contains over 9,000 entries about psychic related subjects but also has 48 graduated do-it-yourself lessons. Blessings!
Hello, The best approach to developing psychic ability is Tom Brown's approach. Start with his basic Sacred Silence meditation and go from there. You can find it in his book "Awakening Spirits". Other good things to try are Mantak Chia's Universal Tao system. His books "Awaken Healing Energy of the Tao" and "Taoist Cosmic Healing" are good places to start. If you can't find these, check out the articles section on his website and read the pieces on Microcosmic orbit, inner smile and six healing sounds. That should get you started in some good directions. You might also look into the Silva Mind Control Method. It is and older system but very effective and can take you a long way relatively easily and painlessly. Good luck
