sometimes i just want to run around the house taking almost everything out. and just live with very little stuff. I have a little boy, so i have alot of his stuff, and my husband is a song writer and singer for a band, so he has all of his notebooks, and im the leader of the city area paranormal group and writing a book, so i have notebooks of all of that, knick knacks, fake flowers, candles. I dont know, it would be kinda nice, I keep some fucked up things.

I do have too many possessions. Laptop, tv, gamecube, etc. etc. I'm into electronics, but it seems that almost everyday I want to throw it all away...it keeps me from nature, meditation, and life.

Nah.... I tend to get rid of most stuff I don't need...... certain things I keep that would seem like junk to anyone else but have memories for me though.

No. I might have too MANY possessions, but not too MUCH possessions. The idea of having too MUCH possessions is ludicrous. >_>

    :troll:

Actually, now that I think about it, I most definitely have too many possessions, but most of them are music-making related, and thus necessary. Or else they're books and DVDs and stuff I like to read and watch and toys and stuff, er, whatever...

I used to have an assload of stuff but just this last month I decided to get rid of it all.
After buying a shitload of trashbags I went to town and cleaned up everything and threw away all the junk. I have so much more room now. Its great

No, I do not like clutter. It drives me freaking bonkers. I don't like lots of stuff on shelves or on walls. It makes me feel messy. I just got rid of a lot of stuff over the weekend while I was packing...and it felt SOOOOOO good.
You should see my car though-it is soooooo messy. I even cleaned it recently and it is still messy. I just have the most bizarre things in there.

I'm a total packrat. I do kinda feel bad, that when people need money so much, I blow my money on such utter shit. I think I have like 7 of those little birds that dip their nose intos tuff. heehee I lvoe those. Fortunately, I do alot of charity work so lets hope that makes up for it

hahaaaaa I was cleaning out my car the other week-just enough so it wouldn't drive me nuts coming back from nevada and I ended up finding an evening gown, lots of panties, yarn, half-made afghans, lots of water bottles, lots of half eaten food (yucky, I know), an empty mini bottle of wine, a ginat thank you card and other really weird stuff

I try to live simply, but there are some things I just can't get rid of. I hate being nostalgic, but I also hate being wasteful. And there are some things that I keep just because I know future generations (my children perhaps) will appreciate them someday.

But the pack-rat syndrome is something I'm always kind of fighting with myself about. My dad and his mother both have severe obsessions with keeping EVERYTHING, to the point where my grandma is actually considered to have a mental illness revolving around it (supposedly relating to growing up in the depression era). She gets physically sick if you get rid of anything, even if you're just trying to help clean up. Anyway, a little bit of that has rubbed off on me and I have a bad habit of surrounding myself with junk. Something I'm always working on.

Yea I have a little boy as well, he's 19 months old. I do
have a bunch of toys for him that we've collected so
    far.
    Other than that?
I have about 4 outfits, 20 or so books, guitar, and 2
    blankets.
And I would say yes, this is too much. -

I don't think so. I don't need much, my laptop, my camera, and my music and I'm a happy camper. :)
