Has/is anyone going to this? I was there last night and am heading back tomorrow evening most likely.
WOW, Got several calls from WV Family. MOST never heard of this Backroom, between a few people decision. ALL feel the land should heal and are trying to inform ALL the locals in that area of Rainbow "Values" and why we treat the land the way we do. Family that stayed there should know & Even "REAL" Krishna's know we let the land heal for a few years. I speak for MANY disappointed Family members, ALL who loved and enjoyed WV '05. If you have doubts or even a nudge inside...Ask YOURSELF: Does this Karma feel right to you? Palatka Ruth
Well, if it matters any it's not in the same spot. It's opposite side of where main meadow was, and is very isolated. (as in no one has crossed the meadow) So rather than being on the side with the river and giant hill, it's on the other side in the forest. Parking and everything is totally different than the '05 gathering. The only similiarity is that it is in cranberry glades, and that place is pretty damn big. I also should mention, I went there and checked it out since I only live about 45 minutes away. There is no where near 300 people. There are about... 15. Krishnas didn't show up.
I just returned home from HOME. We hiked all over the 2005 site. No one would ever know there had been a gathering there. The land has healed nicely. I found quite a few more folks than 15. A very sweet gathering. "Wherever two or more are gathered....." Consensus happened within the Richwood clan. Nobody else was there to put in their two cents. Forest Service is totally cool with things. No police activity, Blessings from many locals. Lots of good food, two kitchens. Plenty of good conversation and music/drumming. All Good. This will most likely be an annual gathering. Also there will be a Rainbow potluck every full moon at Rainbeau Weaver's place in Richwood starting in September. Please, there is absolutely nothing here to complain about. Let's keep the good vibes going! On the road towards peace...
Right On !!! Now thats a Rainbow value to be passed on. Weez just making sure Babylon isnt on the prowl like other cities/area's. My own Family/Kin/Blood (the bikers there) say its all good. Family been hiding across the river (next county) since the Adenas to the Cree now State claimed mountains. We have lived off them mountains (ginseng, ramps, etc) for ion's. Cranberry is special to us. All feel its good for the area being a regional as it will be small due to the timing of other gatherings, Burning Man and the soon Coming of the time :uhoh2:. Stand up, Look up and be glad. Gather in Peace for love IS with you all. Palatka Ruth
Hi! I just want to say I'm really happy to hear about the potlucks. My current home is about 1.5 hours away, but I used to live in Bath County, about 45 minutes away from Marlinton, so not far from Richwood either really. I'm so happy to see family picking up here. The mountains of Western Virginia and West Virginia are so full of magic!
WVa '05 was my first gathering. I loved it so much. It was beutiful. How is this turning out. Is there still family gathering in WVa right now? I'm about 3 hours from there and would love to visit with some family =D
Hey E-Jipt, I doubt there is many people left, but I don't know for sure. I am heading back on friday because I had MASSIVE CAR TROUBLE and couldn't get back for my stuff. I've left Rainbow Weaver messages, and talked to Marciella. I feel horrible leaving it there it was soooo unexpected (I just went home to work!!! and couldn't get back). I'll let you know.
