which is more dramatic? I say the news doesn't cover stabbings much cause they aren't dramatic she says that's part of why they are more dramatic I say guns have that big loud menacing bang I say gun shots cause mass panic she says so do stabbings and I say in real life stabbings, noone even sees the knife, and when they discover the dude on the ground is bleeding, there is more concern than anything I say there are even more dramatic shooting scenes than stabbing scenes in movies once again, she thinks opposite which do you think?
we have a prison case at work wherein the guy is locked up for murder but he decides to start some shit with the CO's. anyways they charge him with a bunch of shit so we pick his case up for that. he is originally a lifer, so of course we receive the discovery for the homicide. seems he wanted to bring a hooker home so that he could screw her in front of his wife. anyways, fucks her then stabs her over 20 times getting off when the the knife hits the floor as it goes thru her. testifmoney states that he breaks the condom because he got so turned on just knowing the knife was going through her and hitting the floor. this is all taking place while three young children are in the next room with their mother. the hooker dies, him and his wife clean up the mess.he leaves her in the bedroom for two and 1/2 day. the apartment he lives in is a one bedroom apartment with just a sheet covering the door. testimony further states that it began to smell bad so he takes the body and dumps it in an alley. i would say that is pretty damn dramatic. edit- I should say that I am not choosing stabbings. They can just be dramatic but then again, I get to read autopsy/medical reports, police reports, witness statements, preliminary hearings and sometimes i get to see the pictures of the crime scene and the deceased.
i'd say the average stabbing is more dramatic than the average shooting, but shooting has more drama potential. the news doesn't cover stabbings because A)they're less common and B)they usually only result in one victim, which is less newsworthy than multiple corpses
in london it seems as though there is always news on stabbings....i think its down to the whole youth culture we got going on in impoverished areas...gang violence here atm mainly consists of (extremely brutal) stabbings and beatings, but when a shooting takes place it takes the front page
shooting is definetly more dramatic duhhh ..the 1st time i seen someone get shot i was in 6th grade. and that shit sucked. stabbings are horrible and all but everyone i know that has been stabbed has lived thru it, but i only know a fewpeople that have survived being shot. one of them is missing an eye though. but anywho. my boy got shot about a year ago. he was wearing a white tshirt and there was blood all over it and from what it looked like i thought he had been shot in the head (he was really just shot in the shoulder, he was fine) but i totally lost it cuz i thought he was dead. when really i probably just made it way worse. i would say that is waaaay dramatic
I've always thought of stabbings as more dramatic because it's way more personal. You have to be right by the person to stab them, but you could be far away from them to shoot them. Often times shootings are random. Stabbings just seem so much more personal and slow and dramatic to me.
slow only means dramatic in movies =P and I would bet you most stabbings are random too in fact, I know around here most stabbings are crackhead muggings
Oh, I'm sure that a lot of stabbings are random, too, but they just seem more personal because of how close you get to the person.
my thing is that the person must be emotionally detached from the person in either situation (as far as random attacks go), making it impersonal either way
