What is the mental problem for transexual?

    I'm doing research about Transexual and wondering if someone can help me about this mental stage of being transexual like a hypnosis. what happen in the first place???thanks

    gender idenity disorder is the mental illness according to the DSM. I heard they are going to take it out though since the APA is getting a bit more liberal and no longer thinks it is a disorder.
