Why even bother saying the Beatles? Isn't it obvious? But besides that, The Stones, The Zombies, and The Kinks.
Well, I love classic rock, but I never did like the Beatles or the Stones, guess they was just to popish for me. And how the Stones ever got the name of Gretaest Rock n Roll band I will never know. I can name so many bands I think are better and who I would rather see or listen to. As for the Who, I never cared for them much, although I did get to see them perform Tommy at Radio City Music Hall in NY back in 1989, and that is still one of my top 10 concerts I have seen ever. I guess I would have to pick Wishbone Ash. They came out of England in 1970, and they are still playing today. The twin leads of Andy Powell and Ted Turner were absolutely killer. Now, if they had just had a better singer than Martin Turner, this band may have hit superstardom.
