At the moment I keep it all wrapped in tinfoil in an air tight container in a dark cool spot in my basement/crawlspace. How long will it last like that/remain potent? Also, will exposing it to light (in my room) for only a few seconds (i had to unwrap the tinfoil pieces to see how many hits were in each wrap, because the dealer wasn't exactly sure, so I had to count myself) cause it to degrade significantly at all? It's not THAT unstable is it?
I'm unable to provide a definite answer but overall more than report of years of storage in conditions similar to yours have fared well. In the 2006 LSD Symposium there was a mention of LSD stored over 30+ years ago in near perfect (or perhaps perfect) conditions to preserve heat, air and light sensitive substances. There was a slight discoloration to yellow but the potency was still there. The conditions being in an airless, cold and a lightless environment. There have been reports that LSD left in a car in the heat for weeks/months have not diminished. I 'assume' the LSD was not exposed to light and was forgotten about or something to that extent. As for a few seconds, there's no great concern and immediately I only remember references to direct sunlight being the culprit for the increased rate of breakdown of the LSD. Without research another assumption would be UV or another property of the sun that doesn't come from a normal light bulb. Sooo my guess would be months or even perhaps years without any worries. The LSD is fine in the sense of potency and the exposure didn't have a significant modifier to the lifespan expectancy based within a medium/moderate time lapse before ingestion. You may of course wish to research this elsewhere though.
I did attempt to do a decent amount of research, going through several other threads and such, and it seems to be okay. I'm not so worried about keeping the LSD potent for a long period of time (I plan on doing it within a week or 2.) I was mostly just concerned with the few seconds of exposure to a moderate amount of light (from lightbulbs only, and maybe my computer monitor, as its night right now) in my room doing any significant damage. Thanks for the help.
It's a bit of a complicated story, but basically I DID have a general idea of how much I was getting. (In fact turns out I have a few more than he told me was there).
