I found out the other day that they passed a law or some shit and the schools in AL are now allowed to give random drug tests, which I think is going overboard and little fucked up. Just thought Id get the word out cause it may be allowed everywhere before long.
If I quit when Im 16, do I gotta have my parents permission to quit? Some people said I do and some said I dont
I was aware of some schools testing student athletes but after doing some more reading I am shocked by what some of these public school districts are trying to pull. Some drug test students that park on campus (the ones that pay you an absurd amount of money for a small parking spot) while others have gone all out and tried drug testing all students. This is by far one of the dumbest moves for the "war on drugs". They are just adding to the problem while infringing on your rights.
as i stated here before, the high school here requires a drug test for a parking permit.. pretty fucked up to think that when i went to high school it was nothing to sell 300 joints in a day in the smoke hall,everyone stayed baked. the year after i quit they started requiring parents permission to be in the smoke hall,and started posting a rent a pig out there. now ya cant even smoke on school grounds an ya gotta get a drug test to drive your car to school.. man welcome to hell...
when i was in high school, if you played any sports, they drug tested you. i thought this was stupid, cause half the people that did drugs in my school didn't even play sports.. and almost all the athletes didn't do any drugs. my senior year, they started drug testing you if you were gonna drive to school. they drug tested me like a week before school started, and never drug tested me again after that. we would blaze on the way to school, after i found out i probably wouldn't get drug tested again haha. also.. if you got drug tested once, you were entered to be "randomly drug tested" through out the year. every thursday, 3rd period, they would start calling people down to the nurse's office. of course everybody knew what it was for. the "random drug test" wasn't random at all. one week they would call all the football players down, the 2nd week, basketball players, the 3rd week people who drove. yeahh soo much for random. it was bullshit.
I know theyd call your parents, then they would PROBABLY take to the police station and hold you there until your parents come and get you.
I've been wondering this whole summer about my school... Next year we are getting a new principal and it's rumored that she is going to requier ALL students to be drug tested. I pretty much just said, oh well if i get caught i get caught, whoop de fuckin duu.
Drug testing public school students is illegal and a breach of privacy. Just get yourself a Pro Bono lawyer to talk to your principle, or sue the dam school if you get tested. Remember, you don't have to accept their drug tests
In case haven't noticed, you really don't have any constitutional rights in highschool. Kids have gotten suspended for saying that they don't think weed is any worse then boos. The point being that it's hard to put privacy and school never have had anything to do with each other.
no you dont have to accept it,however ya will have to accept being thrown out if you refuse. what you dont seem to understand is when the school board (elected officials in a representative republic), vote to mandate drug testing,it becomes legal. if you could possibly find a pro bono lawyer(good fuckin luck) to take the case,you would lose. you seem to forget that as a juvenile in this country you have no constitutional rights. while public school may not be a privilege as a drivers license is,its still a government mandated and funded program,therefore subject to there rules and regulations. IE: if you as a juvenile had rights,they would be stripped the second you walked through the door,much like prison.. its a grand lil fantasy world ya are trying to create for them live love fun,,unfortunately,,its just that,, a fantasy..
For my school, I was suspended once cause I came in drunk. I had to go to rehab for 7 days because I admitted I was drinking everyday before school and shit. Then about a week later I came in blazed from like the fattest joint and the teacher smelled it so I got expelled on the spot. Though I got lucky and went in front of the Board of Education and got re-enstated into my school. They made me be on like school probation, I had to "take" drug tests within every three weeks. I would take the tests at this rehab place that I had to go to for outpatient care. The thing is though the tests didnt test temperature or anything so I would just bring in my freinds piss and the person waiting would wait outside of the bathroom. I passed tests from january till end of school with a freinds piss.
