I bought these last week because i needed new gloves and look what i found on them! Yep, they have a built in roach clip that retracts into the little pocket. The other hand can store a dimebag or 2. I'm almost positive these gloves were made for this purpose because they were designed by danny kass, the guy who won the 2002 olympic snowboarding halfpipe contest while stoned. (I give him props for that)
Hey are you sure that's a roach clip? Some gloves have clips on them so you can clip of glove to the other so you don't lost them.
yes, its a roach clip, more than 1/2 the snowboard companies try to put in stash pockets (usually waterproof), roach clips, and other useful tidbits into their stuff. Bakoda makes a small tool and when you take all the screw-bits and wrenches out your left with a tiny tiny bowl on top and a small hole to draw from on the side, clever eh? EVERY adult (not children) burton jacket (only burton, not ronin even though burton makes them) has a stash pocket, usually it's hidden really well. When i was a little younger my friends and i would walk into the snowboard shop and try to find the stash pockets in all the new jackets that just came out, good fun. Even the bigger companies that you wouldnt expect (like oakley) have stash pockets. One jacket has a hidden pocket with a roach clip that attatches to a small, waterproof bag about the size of a 20. Dont try to argue with me either, ive been snowboarding for a loooong time and i know these things .
I wasn't so sure about this roach clip thing so I went to Google. In another forum someone said that the roach clips is really a handkerchief clip. You would use the handkerchief to wipe your goggles and as for the little pocket, I guess it is so the handkerchief has a place to sleep. I guess it it could be marketed as a clip and pocket for a handkerchief, but in the back of everyone's mind they know what it's really used for.
Nice find. I didn't start smoking until the snowboarding season was over. I can't wait to board blazed.
