Alright- I've been thinkin [[now that school is back in session more than ever]]. I wish their was another hippie movement so bad. Well then I started wondering, why isn't there one? There a lot of ppl that are a part of this forum and there are a lot of hippies out there. We always talk about how we wish we'd been a part of the 60's. I know things would be a lot harder now to get one going- with everything being illegal. but that's exactly what we should be fighting, right? we have no freedom. Maybe there's some points I am missing. But I would love to see another hippie movement. So why aren't we planning one? [[= -em.ilyy[[peace]]
I really wish they had rules against these threads that constantly talk about how much they want another movement

amen sister. oh there is, the government just doesn't want you to know about it. exhibit A: protests have recently been getting less and less coverage. unless they get violent, but i hate violence, so that is NOT a route i am willing to take unless i absolutely HAVE to. you get my drift? *sighs* look at how sad our world has become. we don't care unless something negative happens and THEN only then will we look to the positive. =] we can only hope for the best and do what we can to make change. we are all we've got.
All we can do is peacefully protest for peace! we cannot follow in the forced respect ways of republicans, the gov.,....(all offense to the republicans)~
amen! we really do need anthoner hippie movemnet... im statrting to get more involved in prtests and stuff... cmon ppl, lets change the world
We need another hippie movement cause the goverment is livingin it's own rules and fear's freedom & anarchy.
so what are we doing?? that's the hardest part of everything. unless you do something spontaneously like i do most of the time, but yeah.
there is a consciousness revolution that is happening all around us all the time. we must only open our eyes to it, and join the revolution. peaceful revolutions' coming. its already here!
i live in melbourne, in australia, and i totally agree that we should be doing something but i dunno anyone HERE that agrees with me... so i dunno what i can do atm...also here not many people take me seriously because im 14 :l
Hey i'm 13. But the point is that we should list names for new movement or something like that. But guess thats what were doing.
There is a strong hippie movement and this forum is proof. The problem is we are thinly scattered around the world. With the help of the internet we can organize and make our movement stronger. Peaceful protest is fine. Violence only makes the forces of darkness stronger. But we must each learn to live every day in a way that is in harmony with the earth. Eat a natural foods diet and grow as much of it as you can. Learn to live within your neighborhood and do without traveling farther than you can bike or walk. Release your need for consumer goods and the latest techno stuff. People are hungry for answers and a new way of life. If they see you succeeding in creating a beautiful world around you they will be influenced by that and maybe even become hippies! Who knows!
I would very much like to see it happen to, if nothing else just to say that I have experienced it. There is alot of debate out there as to whether all the protests and gatherings actually achieved anything or not. But the Utopian vision is sure a pretty one.
