Hey I just wanted to share. I've never really known a gay person until the past couple months I've become friends with one. It rocks. He throws partys all the time(as we know, gay men LOVE to party). The partys are mostly women, gay men (although one really girly one made me uncomfortable) and boyfriends of the women. So, i'm the only straight guy out of the bunch who's single. They also know I'm totally cool with gay guys obviously, so they're all over me all night. I can literally have my pick of the crop. Insted of my usual, hope I can get something usually get nothing ways at other partys. I just wanted to share that with you. lol
My older brother is a part of the Orlando gay community and he throws the best parties. When I'm there he puts me in charge of corralling the straights to make sure the party doesn't get polarized LOL.
I don't hang out with straight people at all, really. All my friends are either gay or lesbian. I have a few straight friends that are girls, but no guys.....never really thought about it. All I know is when I have to hang around straight people, I have to set my watch back by about a year lol. (no offense to any straight people reading this)
So true brother. As I strait dude I can't get enough gay friends LOL. They love to party, such fun loving people in general.
hi, i really think gay people are really great. my best friends are gay (or maybe they are my best friends because they are gay(?)=) i've loved gay people since i was a child if the world was gay, i think there would be peace on earth
I understand that you're trying to be nice and all and again am very glad you don't share the homophobic views that so many straight guys do, but please do not make assumptions on such a massive group of people just because one or two people you know fit the criteria you speak of.
Heh, of course when you make an assumption its not going to fit 100% of people. Saying "Canadians love hockey" is a very true statment, even though it doesnt apply to everyone. People should just stop being so sensative about satments. I hear the word Bigot thrown around far too much and in most cases it isn't even waranted. Oh well, I just wanted to share my opinion. In the time knowin these gay people I have met a few. Some were kinda creepy and fit my pervious steryotype (perhaps the one you talk about)
Prejudice is, as the name implies, the process of "pre-judging" something. In general, it implies coming to a judgment on the subject before learning where the preponderance of the evidence actually lies, or formation of a judgement without direct or actual experience. Holding a politically unpopular view is not in itself prejudice, and not all politically popular views are free of prejudice You sure?
Why do you have to set your clock back. Is it because they're close minded? Because that post sounds pretty closed minded to me. You're making a negative steryotype about straight people, isn't that just as bad as a straight man who won't hang out with a queer becuase he thinks he'll get raped in his sleep or somethign? Food for thought. (sorry for the tripple post, but there was three posts I felt I wanted to respode to.)
Okay if you're going to make assumptions, please say that "MOST people of 'X' group or community are like 'Y'" and not just flat out say, like you did "Canadians love hockey" Why do you feel the need to generalise? Why can you not just say that you have gay friends that like to party and leave it at that? Saying that all gays like partying to me is like the same as saying all straight guys love drinking beer while scratching themselves in front of a game of football. It's not true - only a few men fit in that category and to assume that all men do only leads to stereotyping which unfortuantely leads to conflict.
Happyonehit if you met me your watch would probubly stop running. Most of my friends are straight, my best friend is questionable though he claims to be straight my gaydar never lies, I know he's at least bi, just gotta get that side outa his closet.
Hi, well you can say I have a peculiar situation when it comes to deal with the gay issues. I have seen many porn flicks where there have been the involvement of these gay people and I have even enjoyed them. But when I think to make a relationship with one I have a strange feeling though my basic instincts are straight and like many others I would like to fantasize about girls only, but then this thought disturbs me sometimes as why should I enjoy them in movies then? As far as the friendship is concerned I too heard the same from some other people! Who knows what is the actual truth?
