ok, here is my problem A month after having my daughter i didn't come on my period, which i started to worry because that didn't happen with my other 2. Anyway i took 2 tests and they were both neg, another month went by and still no period, so took another, which was neg, 2 weeks later i came on. it's been about 2 weeks since i finished and i had a test laying around so last night i though, what the heck and just took the test just for the fun of it. I looked at it just a few seconds later and there was one line, so i put it in the bin, then just out of curiosty i looked at it thismorning and there was a very faint line. So my question is, do you think it's possible that a period could give off the same hormones as when you're pregnant? I really hope your answers are yes
If you let a test sit overnight it can give a false positive. There is a disclaimer on some of them about that. I wouldn't worry too much, having babeis can mess up your body chemestry for a while afterward.
I didn't get my period for 6 months after I had my son. You really got yours a month after? Am guessing you didn't/don't breast feed? I really hope you aren't pregnant, simply because your body needs time to heal, to regain strenght after the last pregnancy...
yes i am breast feeding, breast fed all 3, and GOD do i know my body needs a rest, my son was 3 1/2 months when i got caught with my eldest daughter and she was 4 1/2 months when i got caught with my youngest, so DO NOT want any more and it's not like i didn't use protection. So i hope it's what captain zeep said and the faint line came up cos it was left over night.
the only reason I asked about breastfeeding is because when a woman is breastfeeding she usually doesn't get her period for about 6 months. The hormone levels keep it away.. nature's imperfect form of birth control. How are you accidently getting pregnant so many times in such a small amount of time? Obviously whatever method of birth control you are using isn't working. Maybe you should consider a different method? Do the children have the same father (looking for a common denominator, not picking on you or questioning your sexual propriety)? If so, maybe the person who is getting you pregnant is sabatoging the birth control?
Yeah my health visitor told me about the breast feeding thing, but i got my periods anyway. The first time wasn't and accident, second time i was on the mini pill and third time, used the withdrawl method (not a good idea, i know) but that's all good cos i'm very happy. This time was condoms and what i didn't mention in my first post was my husband has had the snip,( don't know why i didn't mention that) so i think it would be a miracle if i was, that's why i was so confused when i found the faint line. And yes they all have the same father
Pregnancy tests for the HCG (or HGC?) hormone...it's ONLY produced by a developing embryo after implantation. You could still get a false positive for other reasons, but I definitely wouldn't worry about it.
