Anyone a fan of the original Wicker Man from 1973? I thinks it's just a beautifully filmed movie wth a very unique atmosphere. The whole Pagan vs. Christian thing is very unsettling and filled with tension. Britt Ekland's scene where she is tempting the prudish policeman is awesome, definitely an example to follow for anyone unfortunate enough to be attracted to a prud lol!
Great movie. Definitely a must see, and I never found it boring, but at times it did feel like it took too long to get to the point. Remake was the worst piece of trash ever.
Christopher Lee's greatest villain. Yes it does suffer slow pacing. Never been remotely interested in the remake.
A favourite of mind with a haunting possibilty - certainly at the time when the lack of interweb communication and modern day familiars were not present - And for those of Faith = meThinks (well I would say that wouldn't I) Keep the Faith meSays https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrviUetDs_4"]The Wicker Man - 1973 - Paul Giovanni "Willow's Song" (CD version) - YouTube (PS The NC remake showed why some things should not be done)
i dig the original film, idk about being slow, perhaps if one is expecting a fast paced hacker horror. It had a nice amount of nude pagans worshipping, which is always a nice touch. and the pagans win in the end, making it just that much better!
LOVE THIS FILM. great bit of rural english folk-horror. the remake was a travesty. has anyone seen "blood on satan's claw"? came out in the seventies and has a lot of similarities. good film too.
