Lets look 10 years into the future... Is money everything to you? What fields of work do you think will be where the money is at in the future? Are you sure you will have money in the future yourself? Or will you have been robbed out of your money by a bank, a fraud, a school, a bill of some sort, and/or a great depression? What could stop such a robbery in the future? If a big crisis comes up will it set you back money wise? Are you prepared for a crisis that would drain you out of your money? If so, how are you prepared?
i'm prepaired in my mind, if not otherwise, for a global economic melt-down. of course i'm equally prepaired for it to not happen as well. i think the time WILL come when the whole idea of money will have become obsolete, in the same way that money replaced land ownership and that in its turn replaced nomadic hurding and skill at the hunt. and i look forward, though not in my own remaining lifetime, to something like creative skill with tecnology replacing the entire concept of symbolic wealth, i.e. money. i've also been led reasonably to expect the standard currency against which the value of others is measured well soon no longer be the american dollar. if that hasn't happened already. you know, the stupider something becomes, the more emotionally people cling to it, petrolium based economics for the u.s., let alone the rest of the planet, being the most obvious and current case in point. yes i realize ethanol, or even uranium, are not entirely practical replacements for something to burn. but do we really need to burn anything, other then for heating and cooking, anyway? isn't unneccessary combustion at the very root of the problem to begin with? i think another part of the problem is that the so called center has been moved so far to the 'right' over the past few decades, that anything that isn't outright loonacy gets labeled as liberal or left. i believe it's high time and well overdue for that pendulum to start swinging back in a more sensible direction. =^^= .../\...
GOD DAM Sign Related!!! It's like for every 1 great post you make there's always 5 other's that are filled with the word "Astral Projector"!!! The banks are already funneling away the "money" of the American public. In 5 years I'd be suprised if we're NOT under total and complete Martial Law. And than your not going to have to worry about money, than it'll be people just trying to stay out of the US Government's Citizen Prison Camps, which I'm sure you know have been built for years on US soil
i do honestly and sincerely believe, that when everything doesn't have to be big, for money, to try and impress anyone, or for the sake of aggressiveness, that everyone will be a lot happier a lot more of the time. and i really believe this is going to happen too. and that marxism, capitolism, christerism, islamism, anything else-ism, or at least anything we are now familiar with-ism, isn't going to have anything to do with it. everything we are familiar with today, will be as forgotten as everything people were familiar with thousands of years ago is now, only it won't take thousands of year for this to happen. i don't KNOW what will replace it, these things. i have one set of ideas, of concepts, i would like to see do so. but whether and to whatever extent that happens the things we take for granted now, those will mostly, in some way, chainge, be replaced, or completely disappear. television, the automobile , maybe even conventional living arraingements. oil and coal will be gone certainly, maybe even money, or what it represents. guns and wars too. all these things will disappear. whether the human species will still be around is even uncertain, but all these other things will be gone utterly. =^^= .../\...
I read an article that said that toilet paper will be another very valuable bargaining chip and coming in second is coffee. I hear some people say that gold will be king, but I don't think that'll hold for long since all it does it look pretty LOL
Yeah, kind of hard to wipe your ass with it. Water is the next big resource, just ask the Bushs. Why else do you think they bought property in South America.
in case they need to escape US jursidiction for some unknown reason I don't think toilet paper would be too handy, too hard to transport in significant quantities, and you can wipe your ass with just about anything (including your left hand, like they did back in the day) plus, if i had a gun, i could shoot you and take it...
"having a gun" implies the resources, tools, and someone with the knowledge to make one and it's ammo, either yourself or someone else. do you really have any idea what THAT would take if none of these things were common? might i humbly suggest learning how to knapp flint and streighten arrow shafts? i mean if you really MUST insist on that kind of thing. eventually the last can of canned beans will be gone, along with everyone who fought over it. and those who knew how to grow or gather their own while remaining hidden and succeeded in doing so, will be "the meek" who will have "inhiereted the earth". the culture that repopulates a natural world that will then have had a chance to mostly cleanse itself, well be that of the decendents of those who survived by doing so! thus i propose it will be a very long time after that, if ever, before people will again romantacize and embrace the kind of aggressive assumptions that are so difficult to immagine the abscence of now. depending of course on if and how far population implodes. the greatest likelyhood, as i see it, is that at some point people, those who survive, are going to be forced to realize how much their survival depends upon cooperation. both with nature and with each other. at first, simply in order to. but eventually beyond that, to find gratification and flourish. =^^= .../\...
Money isnt everything to me but I think it is the most important factor that causes the worlds problems.
Destroy all money, and some control goes away. But destroy all fear, and all control goes away. The reason money will be around until there's a spiritual/mind revolution is because it keeps Us distracted from the power of Ourselves. If the governments of the world came out tomorrow morning and started telling the truth that we're all One, that there's nothing to fear and nothing to worry about, than by tomorrow night there would be no government.
