1000 situps.. i'll be taking a 30 second break inbetween every 20 sit ups if i dont fail... i'll keep it up for atleast a month. you think i can do it? (i dont think i can - i'm very lazy.) but i'm gonna try but i do really want some killer abs. so here goes nothingggggg... lol
hahah once i tried doing situps...i did like 20 and nearly died so i stopped, i didnt think it was worth it, but good luck to you hun! peace and love Jane
hey, here's an update... i tried to do my 1000 situps... and i did a grand total of................. 120. lol... yah. my goal was not achieved. no where even close i'm gonna have to go with spooner on this one.. cardio it is.
At least you tried...the way I think is ..I could either do 1000 sit-ups OR I could eat a snack & do my nails*: ) I usually go for the latter but hey...my nails look bitchin'!
I used to exercise compulsively and I did an average of 600 crunches, 200 sit ups, and about 50-100 leg lifts every day, and now my back is all fucked up. When I lay on my back and attempt to do any more than five of any of these things, it feels as if I am being stabbed. Literally. It makes me SCREAM. Not cool.
if you really want good abs just do 50 every day. pushing yourself too much on one day doesn't really do that much for muscle tone and whatnot
i don't think sit-ups are very good for your back but i could be wrong. i think you're better off doing crunches.
sit ups dont really do anything do pilates its much better and actually works i did them and watched what i ate and i lost 20 pounds
^situps do something, they excercise your abs. no, you won't lose weight from them, but that's not what situps are for. i've also heard that crunches are better though, and i believe it
I once did 250 situps in 5 minutes then turned right around and did 250 pushups in around 10 minutes. I said goddamn in front of one of the coaches in high school and that was my punishment.
Good luck, sounds like quite a challenge. Maybe I'll try it tomorrow I've more or less been doing 100 a day for the past couple of months. But it counts as much more as I do all 100 in a single go with nothing holding my feet down except my own will. I can do about 90 in two minutes which is much more than the Army's max for its PT tests..... yes.
