I've seen Rusted Root in concert four times, I love it. I think Rusted Root is one of this generations greatest jam bands.... What do you think?
...amen to that sista. for some reason I thought they were going to play in texas soon. I was looking forward to that, but I guess I wont see em for a while.
i haven't heard alot, but what i did was very stale. if you could hook up a link to a good show....i will gladly listen....
live, they bring energy!!! there is not one soul in the crowd who isn't grooving. if i could follow any tour right now, it would be a toss up between rusted root and the disco biscuits!
I really like Jim the percussionist (taken classes with him) but tour management thinks they are bigger than they really are. I saw management demand BARRIERS inside the Gothic Theatre (cap. 900) separating crowd from stage. I have NEVER seen a band do that in the Gothic, although I know it's popular for hip hop and metal shows. If Leftover Salmon is safe in the area of their biggest crowds, RR is too. I think they are a catch every couple of tours band, really. And yes, their music is in rotation in my house.
i absolutely love these guys!! just straightforward, high energy awesomely happy music. what's there NOT to like?
I saw them open up for the dead in 95 and have seen them several dozen times since, they're from Pittsburgh (so am I) so I was seeing them pretty regularly in the mid 90s havent listened to them in years though, didnt even know they were still playin. drummed with Donavan several times at festivals, saw them billed as the tomato farmers once at the Blue heron fest. It was pretty cool.
