Jesus this laptop has been a headache.
I set up my router, everything been fine, then I go to bed today and it's working and when I get up it isn't.
The laptop says it's connected, says the connection is perfect... yet try to do anything involving the internet and it's a no go... :S
    Help?

I have 2 wireless networks (one at home, and one for the biz), and this also happens to me sometimes. Always turns out to be the broadband modem not working properly. It's always sorted by turning off the modem, waiting 30 seconds or so, and then turning it on again. Can't be sure this is what's up with yours, but it always works for me....

All your laptop is telling you is your connected to the router, not that the router has connected thru the modem (sometimes all in one unit) to the internet. All my regular computers have wireless cards and I have had that issue once or twice. Yes just turn off the router, wait about a minute and restart it! Normally solves the issue.

We used to have a modem you couldnt really turn off w/o unplugging so a simple computer restart fixed it.... hope you get everything straightened out <3

back in the day when I was an IT professional, there were few problems that couldn't be solved by turning the kit off, waiting a wee while and turning it on again. Good to see some things don't change.

I used to have a cable modem that would drop the connection from time to time. Restarting it once or a few times by pulling the AC adapter from the back of the router and waiting a few seconds before plugging it back in worked wonders in getting my connection back.
