do they have this every year at the Allegheny National Forest? i would love to go this year but im busy that week.
aaww shoooot. well yall should definently have it at the same place or at least in western PA again. ^_^ have fun!!!
I have to tie up some lose ends and I'm ready. Would I be of any help if I came early? I saw a phone number for people who wanted to help but I can't find it anymore.
i'm sure seed camp could always use two free hands. i may end up going last minute because my car is giving me issues that may prevent me from driving up to NY.
Nugget I'm around the Chicago area. Any chance we can meet up and ride together?? peace and much love- Sarah
FS 2002 is ripped up for a few miles between Warren and right up to FS116/119. So if you have a low ride, or doing a balancing act on your motorcycle like I did, it is best to go into Sheffield. I found the people and directions are much kinder from there as well.
I'll certainly see what I can do...not sure if I'll be able to wiggle ou of things enough to get there. This time.
Thanks, yer Kinglyness. We do have a low ground clearance vehicle, and will probably be loaded to the tits. See y'all Sunday.
does anyone have an idea of how long clean-up will last? i won't be able to get out there after the end of the month.
I was going, but I guess.. I might not be now. We lost one of our riders and now we ain't got the cash to make it there, especially since by losing her, we lost her car which was a million times better on gas then my POS car. So, if anyone will be passing through Virginia --- we wanna go!!! I'm off this entire week with nothing to do, we would just need to be back by the 18th..
We just drove all the way up and down I-81 thrrough VA. Wouldn't have had room for another human with the baby abd the dog, though, without serious re arranging, and we had to leave Friday morning. Turtle soup was the Happening Kitchen...44 seemed to lack focus...lacked something, anyway. Fat Kids put out a lot of good food, but was in even more in need of ambiance than 44. All you Anti-Permit Fundamentalists, let it be known that the District Ranger was all about taking our side against the DC crowd and not requiring a signed NCGUP, untill he got word of the individual who was duct taped at Front Gate by one of our Fine Little Hawk trained Guardians, then released and beaten with a baseball bat. And there were still people who wanted that gathering to be another New Mexico, and invite the riot police in to shove us into paddy wagons over this piece of paper. Oh, yeah, Clean up. Last weekend was the big weekend, by the 1st part of next month there probably will still be trails in need of water barring, &c, but I doubt that anybody will be left on site. I would think any workers lest in the woods by that time will be camped at Heart's Content.
