I actually put "low sugar/diabetic" because I really didn't see a category that fit mine. I've been eating alot of health food lately, but nothing categorized here. :D

Apparently I answered this poll at some point, saying I was lacto/ovo veg. A little over 7 months ago I became vegan, though, and feel soooo much better! :)

I don't know what lacto/ovo means but Ima vegetarion and have been for all my life,
recently cut egg out of my diet but not milk. I have boiled milk only.
organic wherever we can and fairtrade.
gunna make a veggie garden cos we're composting now so otherwise it'll just go to waste.
    Pretty much only wholemeal,
Not much sugar since a diabetic is in the family and its not fair for us to eat and them not to. (type 1 so not a lifestyle thing)
I have braces (pink lol) so i cant bite into somink too hard and i cut down (massively) on the fruit juices and less massively acidic fruit. Plus i hadn't had apples in ages till 2 days ago cos i have to cut them.

We eat indian food everyday and i get a variety of veggies so i like many more than my friends. Plus i eat slow but i can't help it!! Even if i dont talk at all!

before it was unhealthy. i ate much junk food, and i still love to eat junk food. There is nothing better than the wrong stuff..but now i eat much more vegetables and fruits. I don`t eat more than 3 meals a day and i don`t eat like a pig. Everything is cool and it can`t harm u, if there are limits.

I eat everything that is not fast food. Eat meat, especially fish and chicken and lots of veggies. Try to eat everything but in small portions. :)

There's no option for omnivore. I'm allergic to both soy and dairy, and thus I eat meat and eggs. Sorry veggies, I eat dead animals. I don't think it's fundamentally wrong to kill animals for food, and I'm an Atheist so I have no beliefs that support me not eating meat. The meat I eat does come from local, family-run amish farms in my area so I'm not supporting factory farms (which I do think are dirty and needlessly cruel and want to support the small local guys), and the meat I eat is not central to my diet since the most food I eat is veggies and carbs. I kinda eat like a Mediterranean diet - lean protein from animals and plants, omega 3 fatty acids from things like olive oil and avocados, complex carbohydrates, and lots of raw fruits and vegetables. I'm actually healthier than a lot of vegetarians I know who go about it the wrong way and eat lots of processed fake-meats.

As well as not mentioning a wholefood omni diet,it does not mention the Pritikin diet. Is it because it is history and all interest is lost in the Pritikin diet?

WOW! hard to believe I started this thread over 2 years ago and it's still going.
Well in the last 2 years I have gotten even pickier about what I eat....but not sure I could actually put a label on my eating habits.

I voted in the poll a long time ago!

Im not ovo-veg (went ovo-veg age 12) anymore, ive been vegan for about 2 years, and trying to be raw food vegan now

I eat mainly, highest to lowest amounts:
    Green veggies
    Fruit
    Other veggies
    Sprouts, seeds and grains
    Nuts
    Other stuff

Im about 80 percent raw now

well ive had all sorts of bad diets in my past. In my teens and up until 22 i used to eat alot of fast foods and whatever else. I had some meals at school that were balanced like with broccoli, potatoes, meat..etc.

Then it got worse at another college i ate the pizza, french fries, hamburgers again. I mean not everyday but then it got even worse.

One year i got obsessed with buffet places like chinese buffets. I ate all the deep fried foods and other crap they served.

I quit eating out and mainly cook my own food now.

    Anyone want to comment?

Ya know its not just the fast food places that serve bad food. Chinese buffets as well as grocery stores can serve just as bad food.

I mean eat enough ice cream and that is just as bad as eating fast food.

Microwave popcorn also is transfat heaven. Eat enough microwave popcorn and it will be hazardous to the health.

Its not just mcdonalds and wendys that is bad for u

Well the point is alot of people buy bad stuff everyday to eat and that is what is sad.

I mean you see them buy stuff from the gas station and when u see the words:

partially hydrogenated oils( trans fat) list on the ingredients that is a dangerous food to buy.

Oh yeah they use different chemical names now besides that to add trans fat and trick people: mono or diglycerides is also trans fat.

Why cant they just ban it like denmark did?

Some eat it knowing its bad and some do so not intentionally.

I mean it would be alot healthier to bring a pear and some nuts to a movie theatre than it would be to eat a bunch of popcorn, candy and soda.

Denmark did not ban trans fat outright. What they did was to have a maximum limit of 2% trans fat in margarine. Did you know that it was Mary Enig from www.westonAprice.org who was the researcher and whistle blower on trans fat?
