For a first time grower, I doubt you'll get more than 1-3 ounces, not a lb. Now maybe if it was "Big Bud" strains you could.. But if your just throwing mid's seeds in a pot, don't expect alot from one plant =) Try 2 incase ones a male.
I've heard usually around 1-2 oz's....lmao 1 lb, NO WAY. I wish. shit I would grow 10 plants and get 10 lbs.

i wouldnt trust any sort of official report about yield. it´s going to vary and depend on a lot of factors throughout the growing process. so, it depends. i wouldnt expect anything and just see what happens.
Think bout this! The example: In ur closet u have either: 2 big plants which u bud once every 8 months and they produce between them about 12-14 ounces of smokable bud or 8 small plants which u bud every 4 - 6 months and they produce 2 ounces each, total of 16 ounces per harvest and u can get about 2 small plant harvests in the same amount of time as 1 big plant harvest bcoz ur wasting less time in the vegetative growth phase Total: Big Plant Harvest, Once in 8 Months = 12 - 14 Ounces Small Plant Hravest, Twice in 8 - 12 Months = 32 ounces (I'll try finish up now before u get completely bored with reading my crap lol) ... That's just an example but my mate did 2 big plants and it took nearly a year for 1 harvest, he got some killer size buds and they looked wicked bt he totaled bout 15 ounces i think it was while in the same time i got 3 harvests outa my small plants (which were clones from his lol) and my bud total was over double his and i got 3 freshly harvested bud in a year so the smoke didn't turn to shit or get fungus or anything ... just think bout the different options and then decide what u wana do, a few big plants or lots of little plants
Are you going to be growing outside or inside? Depends how well you are at following directions. Inside I think you could get around an ounce for your first time, outside, around 3-5 ounces depending how good you are, quality, and how much you take care of it.
as many people have stated it depends on a variety of factors. But for a first time indoor grower, 1oz per plant is a doable GOAL. I wouldn't suggest growing outdoors until you have had a little experience in growing......all bets are off outside, animals, weather, rippers, being found, etc. Indoors you control the environment, you decide when it gets watered, if your clean in your growing technique you wont have any pests.....much easier IMHO. But to give you an idea my first outdoor plant this year im shooting for around 4-5oz dry......biggest one indoors i've had off one plant was 3oz some odd grams.
