I think Senator Gravel would make a pretty kickass president, but does he really have a chance?

 

He was the first guy in the race and will probably get fewer votes than Kucinich.

I will probably vote for him in the primary b/c he is very progressive (except for the proportional/flat tax).

 

Yeah, I don't really like the idea of a flat tax. I think our system now is very fair. But his issues are so impressive!! And then the marijuana legalization puts him over the top. Probably won't win. Oh well.

they will, just like people vote on candidates based on looks. You're talking about sheep here, there are no minds in the public.

 

i'd hate to see a politician (remember, that's what they ARE) take office and have a poor policy but wants to legalize pot. i'd rather see a few more important things happen before i vote for a pro-MJ candidate. i mean, i'd probably vote for somebody if they had decent stance on the issues and we weren't in a war and our country wasn't torn apart. woo hoo we can smoke weed legally but the country is fucked up. i haven't seen a candidate yet that is pro-MJ and whose issues i agree with. except for kinky friedman... (texas gubernatorial election), but i doubt he is running again in the next election.

personally i hate politics all around, its just old guys that think that are the cats pajamas and they know whats good for everyone in the fucking country, george bush has a fucking DUY for cocaine..our president is known for fucking coicaine use and dick has 2 for alchohol whats that say about politics. with the way our country is bieng ran right now who knows if this guy will get voted, its said more poeple smoke weed than people vote for the president. maybe all the potheads will emerge from the dark corners filled with empty sandwich and chip bags that they have been passed out in for a while and vote for this dude.
i think there should be some switching up, pot should be legal and alcohol and cigarettes should be illigal. how many people do you hear about dying from that shit a day!? and who turns out better the pothead or the alcoholic or the tobacco smoker?

One topic. He claims that the american government is a sham, and needs to change. I completely agree with that. If the founding fathers discovered that the land of the free is nolonger free anymore, they would be roling in their graves, and this guy is speaking revelations. This has been common sense to many people for ages, these topics he has addressed on have all been debated on, and proven to work, but noone likes change, instead they would rather eat themselves inside out because of the familiar demons they know and love. Wake up american people, your ancestors fought for freedom, and now it exists in a police state (cough) The Patriot Act 2 clauses(cough).

 

All those that say he should win, but won't, why don't you vote for him, and raise awareness. It's your country, and your voice should be heard. One person can easily talk to over a hundred people in a day in simple conversation. Pick a couple days, and pick a couple people to speak up for him. YOu're already networked on this forum, work with it. If America doesn't address it's own issues, and continually fights wars with other countries, there won't be anything left worth fighting for.

 

The only reason he doesn't have a chance is because we don't give him a chance. We decide who goes in there. We VOTE!! Not anyone but ourselves can get him in. So maybe if some of us voted for him instead of sayin he will never get in there, he would win..
