ok so i have no idea how to even make dreads all of yours look so good!!

and i also heard that if you don't want them anymore then you have to cut them out. is that true?

plus i don't know any of the terms that are being used.

    hmm..
    possible terms you're referring to:
backcombing- combing you hair in the opposite direction.. up toward the roots. This creates a load of tangles that will later lock up.
neglect- refers to stop brushing your hair and just let nature take it's course and knot up your hair in its own time..
locking- dreads/knots tightening and becoming more "dread-like" and compact.
Can't think of any else atm, anything in particular confusing you?

the two ways to start dreads.. neglect method and backcombing. & never ever use wax.

& no, you do not have to cut them out - though it'd be the fastest way of getting rid of them. You can actually use a load of conditioner and comb them out - which takes lots and lots of time, patience, -and I assume- some pain.

i'm so jealous! yours look amazing! and if i tried the natural way that would never work i have thinner hair and its so hard for it to knot since it's so stright all the time!

    and what does congo mean?

i want to try dreads but i don't know how to make them good since i know the natural way definatly wouldn't work

a "congo" is when two(or more) dreads join together to make one bigger one

    Thank you =D
I have terribly thin, straight, fine hair. I backcombed, it's been going very well.
If you don't wanna go natural then do that =) It takes a good deal of time and patience though, and a friend whose willing to help you out with the hair you can't reach. Everyone's times differ though; some people only take a few hours, some take days.

dreadheadHQ has a good tutorial on how to backcomb: http://www.dreadheadhq.com/make_dreadlocks_dread_it_up_index.php

sans the wax and their other products.. Absolutely don't use wax. & you can make your own 'accelerator' if you really want to out of lemon juice, sea salt, and water. The mixture will help to dry your hair and tangle it up more.

Basically you'll be dividing your hair into sections all over your head, then using a flea comb (they work best) to backcomb each section. Don't leave rubberbands in, I would take em out as you start each section... if you leave 'em, over time they'll get all nasty and gunky.

A great residue-free soap to use (because with dreads ya' don't use conditioners or regular shampoo) is Dr. Bronners. Everyone here raves about tea tree, but it doesn't matter all that much - I have peppermint. (NOTE: If you get the liquid soap, make sure you dilute it A LOT before using it on your head. Otherwise you'll get a mess of residual concentrated soap on your scalp. I learned the hard way.)

& remember: dreads are a journey, and patience is always the key. They're a lifestyle more than just a hairstyle. =)
