Here is a list of good colleges! Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, MI Grove City College in Grove City, PA Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio (GOOD CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY!) Indiana Wesleyan University of Marion, Indiana Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula, California College of the Lookouts in Point Lookout, Missouri (VERY UNIQUE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!) Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA Patrick Henry College, Purcellville, VA Christendom College, Front Royal, VA (GOOD CATHOLIC COLLEGE) And my personal favorite: Harding University in Searcy, AR!!
Warren Wilson College and Naropa College are my personal favorites. Also, for the top ten most politically liberal colleges: http://encarta.msn.com/college_article_LiberalColleges/Top_10_Politically_Liberal_Colleges.html
For such a 'love' and 'freedom' supporting place, Warren Wilson College looks rather hateful to its conservative brothers simply for stepping foot on their college. Talk about irony!
Evergreen State College. I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but it is an intensley hippy school. No grades, no majors, choose your own curriculum. It is really cheap, too, at least in state. I've been thinking about going there. It is in Olympia, Washington, which is the capital. Therefore, you are in pretty good protesting distance. Not too far from Seattle, too.
I live in Plattsburgh, and SUNY Plattsburg is a chill place. I mean, its not really a "hippy" school. You have a fair ammount of diversity here, but there are some really cool hippy-like people.
Hmm no Illinois huh? Near Rockford has a bunch of hippies, my graduating class of only 70 seniors are mostly hippies so theyre going to Rock valley community college, beautiful there. Im not sure about chicago tho. Only been to one college just to visit
Disagree on the Rock Valley, I have only met ultra-conservatives at the rock. I know there are a few here and there, I guess I am taking the wrong classes. Rockford after all is the land of Bars and more importantly Churches.
AppState is where I am!! I absolutely love it here! It's awesome, I recommend it for sure! Hippies everywhere. Hippie music scene, hippie bars...oh yes! Come to ASU!
ive heard the university of wisconsin is a pretty big hippie college, my mom went there in the 70s, said there was tons of pot, and drugs in general, even some of the cops smoked.
thats where im applying to go to. Im gonna go to a campus visit in september or october. Im very excited and I hope it works out! I wanna study Parks and Recreation, and conservation. Do you go there?
Clark University in Massachusetts. They offer a peace studies program that I plan on getting into when I go there-I'm gunna double major-English and Peace Studies
