Whats the worst sickness you've had??

So i'm coming down with a cold as we speak... my throat is hurting and i can't stop sneezing...
and i'm just wondering.... what's the worst you guys have ever been ill??
it'll raise my spirits to know that i could be ALOT worse

for me it was when i had surgery when i was little and it healed wrong and i got an infection from it and i was running a 102 fever for almost a week and i remember they used to rub ice on my feet and my face
i didn't like it

 

I had severe croup when I was 7 maybe 8 years old. At first I just had a nasty cough like a seal, a couple days later I had extreme difficulty breathing. I had to go to the hospital. They put a mask on me for some kind of breathing treatment...I just remember it smelled funny and made my nose and eyes run. It made the staffs' noses run as well.

I was in the hospital overnight and was fine the next day. Yep, that's the most serious thing I've had. No broken bones...none of those things.

 

Back in 1997 I was sick for a month with the flu, followed by two weeks of strep throat



Since then I haven’t been sick a single day in over ten years

I think it was a broken heart.

That is the worst sickness one can feel IMO. What it does to your body is astounding.

and not just from a break up, but from a painful goodbye or parting with a loved one or suffering after a death of a loved one.

scarlet fever, i had a rash and i worked at a coffee shop and they told me to wear long sleeves and work anyways, wtf? if you have heart conditions scarlet fever can kill you and the coffee shop I worked at was in a military hospital...............

I'm fairly healthy for my rock n' roll lifestyle.

 

Chemo. Nothing like it compare to, but will be glad when it is over again.

 

scarlett fever was the most severe illness i've had, though a couple times i actually was sicker from the flu

 

i used to get pneumonia all the time when i was little.
i don't remember much about it cause i was so young, but i do remember having iv's in my arms and walking around with the drip and it was so annoying.
they also would take me into a room in the hospital and give me shots of something but i dunno what it was. i would kick and scream and cry.

to this day i'm terrified of needles.

 

I was a sickly kid, but I guess the worst were my yearly bouts with acute bronchitis. I remember hallucinating and hating the words "lukewarm bath." Yaaaarrr.

that i remember? nickname is beaver fever, i forget the real name for it but its an incredibly bad case of the shits you get form eating contaminated food (food prepare dby someone who took ad ump and didnt was their hands EW) i had to be hospitalized for a few days over it to get my fluids back up

though having my throat swollen so shut i could barely swallow sucked, i had to go to the hospital every 8 hours for a coupel days, sucky

and when i was really young i apparently had heat stroke really really really badly, thats probablyt eh worst i had but i dont remember it (laid on a blanket on the floor for like 3 days or something because i couldnt stand to be touched by anyone, they were too hot

i had a very bad case of glandular. my neck swole up so much, i couldnt leave my bed for weeks. it was awful. but bearable

i once endured unbearable pain for about 3 hours. something was wrong with my womb. i still dont know what caused it but i couldnt lay still cos it hurt so bad, it was like someone ripping your insides out slowly. i was hoping i would pass out so i wouldnt have to feel it anymore. worst thing ive ever gone through!

 

well i've had pneumonia a couple of times, back in the day when they gave you codine for it. and one time when i was real little, about four years old, i had constipation so bad, due mostly as much to nervous tension as anything else, that it was life threatining, and i had to be hospitalized for a couple of days to deal with it.

they even put me under the either, i remember that. i don't know what sort of surgical proceedure they did THAT for. and come to think of it i don't know what that could have had to do with extreme constipation, but i do remember that's the only time in my life i've ever been hospitalized.

i've had mumps a couple of times that were pretty extreme. my left nut became the size of a grapefruit for a while there. this was when i was arround 11 or 12. it was also arround that time, between 11 and 16 or so, that i had poison oak rash over more then 50% of my body a couple of times.

and i tended to have that sleep perallisis problem when i was little too.

but other then those things, which were pretty much all before i was out on my own, when i was still legally a dependent of my parents, i've been pretty healthy most of my adult life.

i rolled down a long set of cement steps when i was in grade school too, and didn't even get a scratch. another time i did get shoved down and land in such a way, one of the yards at school was this really fine sharp pointed gravel, that a tiney stone of gravel got shoved through the skin into the palm of my right hand, from which it was surgicly removed and sowen back up by doc smith, the gp in out little town i was living in at the time, right in his little doctor's office. i didn't even need to be put under or anything as the pain was no worse then i was already in from it.

i've had some teeth fall out. that was really painful the first time. but that's been about it so far.

i contracted a very rare bacterial infection whilst living in the sewer in tucson az. docs said only about 30 cases have been reported n they were all in jungle dwelling tribespeopple of peru. my face sweeled up so i looked like quasimodo. they put me in the childrens cancer ward fer 3 days. did you know they had softcore porn videos there?very thoughtful. i guess if a kids gonna die itd be mean to deprive them of mastyerbatory paraphenalia.err jerkin material.
