I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem. But I have had my 4g in for almost a month, and yesterday i tried to stretch with a 2g taper after a shower, did'nt fit, at all, tried a 2g silicone earring, bled....what the hell am i supposed to do?
just fucking wait! give it two months at least. your body is telling you in a very clear and obvious way thats its not ready.
well i know i have to wait, but im talking about like, what am i supposed to do about my ear, it hurts...i read that sea salt soaking 3 days with vitamin e massages will heal it up pretty quick, i just dont want to not be able to stretch anymore. I feel some scar tissue build up, thats what i was wondering...
if you already have a build up of scar tissue then you went to fast when you stretched too fast in the first place. My ears are 5/8ths of a inch I started stretching when I was 14, I'm 20 now....take your time. If you rush you WONT be able to stretch far, the scar tissue will mess it up...
that's not what im saying, i started developing a little scar tissue at my current gage(4),but im worried of it getting bigger now, and it probably will, so im just askign suggestions as what to do to decrease it, i think vitamin e oils will work out fine to stop it.
Just press on man, I went from a 4 to a double zero in three days.... blood is a naturally accuring thing
thanks for that encouragement..lol...but i rather do it right the first time rather than fucking it up and doing it all over again with scar tissue
You shouldnt have any scar tissue if you didnt rush it. Go to www.bodyartforms.com and look for holeybutter thats great for stretched holes.
ok, thanks..ill admit, i rushed through a couple of gages, but im just trying to stop the scar tissue now
...and still, no real advice on what to do about the hurt ear? The best thing to do is obviously stretch slowly. After you stretch, of course the jewelry is tight. When the jewelry starts to move easily and the stretched piercing isn't sore or anything, that's a good time to start "working" on the next stretch. Play with the jewelry - I pull on mine a lot out of habit, and it makes stretching a lot easier. Of course, keep it clean too, but playing with jewelry, tugging at it, etc. will make the next stretch a lot easier. If you hurt your piercing while trying to stretch, the best thing to do is, obviously, put the last thing you had in there back in. In your case, put the 4ga. plugs back in. Salt soaks DO help a lot, and sea salt is cheap and easy to get. In my opinion, it's one of the best things to use because I don't know anybody that CAN'T use it, it works incredibly well, and it's all-natural, no scents or dyes or anything that will irritate your skin or piercings. If you're worried about scar tissue, first get the peircing healed again. THEN go get some Vitamin E oil. Rub it in 2-3 times a day. It helps dissolve scar tissue and makes it so your skin has a little more "give" to it, so it's a bit more stretchy than when you started out. Depending on the scarring, it might take a while, but even if you use it, still stretch, and continue using it between stretches, it helps a lot.
Sounds good, I have done a couple of sea salt soaks, i kept the 4g in there, yesterday i took it out to clean the gunk that was in my ear hole, it is still a little sore, but a lot better than what it felt like before, i tried sleeping with a bandana over my ear as a compress, but that didnt work out too well. I tug at it a lot, and twirl the gage around so it has some more play. I washed it with bronners, soothed it a lot. im just hping it heals quick
waiting would definately be your best bet. the larger your ears are, the longer you should wait. once you get well into the inches, you would probably do very few stretches a year, and a lot of downsizing to thicken up your lobes.
Try getting a taper with a more gradual incline (So if your taper is 1", make it 2"), one with a point rather than a blunt one. If you can, maybe make one out of fimo, in between the sizes of 4g and 2g PS. I have that Explosm thingo on my MySpace, I love it! >.<
yeah, i was looking into half sizes, but I can't find any...its started to heal with the sea salt soaks, then a wash with dr. bronners, followed by a vitamin e oil massage. it really has broken down the scar tissue, so thats good, still a little tender, ive tugged at the plug just to get it a little more flexible and stretchier, not like yank on it to the point where it hurts again, just smooth little tugs, and heads up, dont stretch like a dumbass, the current thing i used to stretch was a silicone double flared plug, bad bad bad...i wish i used a taper on this one. i love cyanide and happiness, they have funny ass comics
agreed! ive skipped many many sizes and blown my ears out but theyve never bled. except the other day but it had nothing to do with stretching... it sounds like youre doing the right thing to heal it and you realize that you should have used a taper, etc so thats good. having reconsidered my stance on this, i say do whatever you want with your ears just make sure youre informed. if you know that stretching too fast could tear your ear, give you catbutt holes, blowouts and such then youre set. its your body and some people do way more abuse to their bodys than ear stretching. i think i showed you a pic of my ear... if you dont want yours to potentially look like that you might want to slow down, just a warning lol. depends on your goal size too of course. ok enough rambling from me for now.
the most im going for right now is a 0g, if my band becomes successful, then probably a 00g, i dont want to stray from the gages..g stands for friend in my book. Yeah, I should have listened, but my ear is shaping up pretty well, i guess learn from experience.
I found that the stretch from 2G to 0G was pretty hard, so i think you might want to go from a 2G - 1G - 0G
