When Apple was going bankrupt, wasn't it Microsoft who saved them? Trying to get their customers to by bigger, more expensive products doesn't have a thing to do with a monopoly, it's called upselling, they do it at McDonalds.

I use my own personal laptop so I guess that doesn't really apply to me.

Yes, that's true, but you're nit picking at how some things are curved in Vista and some things are not, it's nothing that really matters to me and I doubt it really matters to the majority of Vista users. It's really just things anti-Vista users are trying to exploit as justification to bash on Vista. What exactly did you ask about the API?

 

I just purchased a brand new laptop with these specs:

3.2 GHz 64-bit AMD Dual Core Processor
2.0 GB RAM
120 GB Hard Drive
288 MB Graphic Memory

As you can see it at least doubles every requirement. I got the computer for $900 without shopping around. I'm sure you can find systems for hundreds less that meet the requirements. I've seen notebooks for under $500 that come pre-loaded with Vista.

64 MB is far outdated, if they don't upgrade from that, I wouldn't expect them to upgrade to Vista.

 

I used to read the KDE boards about 10 months ago. Useful shit, I learned quite a bit, then I started not being around computers as much, since it was summer and I was too busy smoking and staying the night at peoples houses and shit. Then never really got back into it.

This is mine.
Nice and clean and simple.
Granted my "my documents" folder looks like a cluttered desktop but it makes starting up smoother with having shit all on it and just makes it look nicer.

Yea it is ubuntu, it used to be a xubuntu server for torrent flux, but I would much rather run utorrent off my laptop and have the d/l directory for some files on the ubuntu machine.

 

When it comes to me, I could care less when it comes to gnome vs. kde, but yes kde is better.

ok well here is the picture i used for my desktop.its a really beautiful picture my friend took while coming back from repoing on nantucket island
