I read that with the equal house chart ...there are no intercepted signs. Is this true?
Explain intercepted houses? How could you have you sun intercepted...thats like you have no sense of self ...Anyone understand this?
Lastly, what chart do you think is the most accurate...vedic or western..or any others.

Ok this may be long. Ya know how I like to ramble.

House systems is one of the few things in astrology where there really is no right and wrong way, and there is little argument over it. House systems are just different ways to divide the sky.

Equal houses mean that there is one sign per house, so there are no interceptions. Planets by the way don't get intercepted - just signs.

Interceptions are pretty much a modern concept. Traditional astrology doesn't say much about them. They worried about what sign ruled the house. So, I don't pay much attention to them either, since most of the explanations I have seen have been pretty wishy-washy. I used to watch it, but I don't anymore.

As far as modern astrological systems, I think Vedic is better, but keep in mind Vedic astrology is almost identical to traditional Western. The separation happened in the 19th century where the West went the psychological route.

The biggest difference between the two today is that Vedic uses Sidereal times for the signs, and Western uses Tropical. This difference causes a lot of argument, and I think it's overblown. Some people think sidereal is more accurate, and it isn't. The fact is, is that both systems don't reflect what is in the sky, and the difference is where you want the signs to start. The sidereal system has the starting point when the Sun hit 0 degrees of the Aries constellation, which was a couple thousands of years ago. The tropical system resets 0 degrees Aries every Spring solstice.

Really the issue is that people confuse the difference between constellations and signs. In western astrology they are two separate things, and in Vedic they are the same. In the west, astrology was sign based for about as long as the Greeks have used astrology.

As far as something strictly modern I would say Vedic. However Vedic is very similar to traditional (pre 18th century) Western.
