Help finding a laptop...

I'm beyond frustrated trying to find a notebook that has what I need, doesn't have vista and is around 1000 dollars.
Can anyone help me out? I've been looking around the dell website but I'm told Inspirons are crap computers and that's all I can find there. DOn't know much about anything else.
I need something that is at least semi fast, 2gig memory, around 100gig harddrive, and has windows xp, which seems to be no where now.
Any who can point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

 

I've had the same problem, needed a laptop with XP. I found a few at www.misco.co.uk , but delivery may be a problem for you from there...! Also HP has a few - www.hp.com

 

you can get a laptop and a separate copy of XP and just install it. if you already have a copy of XP you save yourself the hundred bucks too. pretty much every new computer is going to come with Vista because that's what most people want.
