as we have learned, contamination is a product of processing more than anything else. Botulism is connected to canning/tinning, and can happen to your beans, or canned juices. Remember the alar scare (anyone over say, 12 in 89? that was Odwalla juices! sure, eliminating processed meat will drop your risk of e-coli o157 H7. But always practise safe handling at home and go for the least processing possible. That will change by location, season and income, but every bit helps!
