I'm looking for a friend and companion in New York City.
Could we share some common ground?

To this end, I care a good deal about the quality of relationships, not only between myself and other persons, but the way we relate to art, music, literature and the way we interact with our environment and the communities we live in.

I am especially passionate about participatory, underground artsy projects. For example, I participated in the Quiet Project, where I was among 80 or so "citizens" living in Japanese-style sleeping pods in a Tribeca loft as part of an avant garde film documentary.

Most recently, I camped out in a used car lot in Queens, NY as part of an art project http://tinyurl.com/y7b2u5.

I want to get out of the City this summer to go on wilderness backpacking adventures in the Catskill Mountains, as well as other places within a three hour drive of Manhattan.

I would love to show you hidden waterfalls in the forest and climb mountains with you, which have inspired the Hudson River school of landscape painters.

I have all the camping equipment needed to live a clean, health, comfortable and safe existence in a forest, ranging from a water purifier to a miniature stove to a tent heater to a portable shower.

I am also interested in sharing a trip to the Rainbow Family Gathering in the Allegheny National Forest from Sunday, August 12th through Sunday the 19th. It's a 350 mile, 6.5 hour road trip from NYC.

I am hoping both of us will return from whatever journey we share with a little more enlightened and inspired by mother earth and each other.

And when I am not having fun, I have assisted various community groups in litigation against administrative agencies concerning land use planning and historic preservation. I helped save an important historic building from demolition, which is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Historic Districts Council gave me an award for my efforts.

Please e-mail me and I'll give you a number to call me.

But not too early. I'm just not alert when I have woken up. For example, one time when I was in college I had this very early morning class. The night before, I stayed up late preparing for my presentation, only to be dismayed that my classmates were snickering at me.

When I returned to my dorm, I went to the bathroom, looked in the mirror, and realized that my Queen Helene Anti-Zit Miracle Mud Mask was still on.
