For those of you in the dark and/or don't follow baseball. http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=242058 thoughts?
he's a great hitter - one of the best ever. so i am excited to see it fall. records are meant to be broken.
My boss at work makes me listen to sports radio for the last half hour of the day everyday, so I know way more about Bonds than I have ever wanted to know. I think he'll break the record, there will be some momentary celebration, and then it will just be yesterday's news. This event has been so hyped up that it won't truly surprise or amaze anyone in any way. People will just say, "well, he did it"... and move on. The steroids are giving him more publicity than the HRs as it is.
fuck the steroid BS hype in the media...taking AAS does shit to his eye-hand coordination, and bat-speed, at which he has so little time to connect with a 90 mph fast ball. no amount of AAS will help him connect with the ball - period. thats pure skill he's had, way before this hype up on steroids.
Well yeah, I don't think that the steroids are that big of a deal. But I'm in no position to comment, I do drugs
ding ding ding that's the one point these sour muhfuckas will NEVER admit, but it's the 100% truth... with or without steroids, the boy is nice. a lil fun fact about steriods... they have zero effect on your: -hand/eye coordination -reflexes -ball vision -ability to make contact basically all they did was give him power.. and it's quite evident watching him play now that his natural power is more than adequate. He would've broken the record regardless, but these cats will neverrrrr admit that.
I think steroids do have an effect. The seasons where its use was the highest, the McGwire, Bonds era, the games were out of control high scoring and the home runs were flying out of the park It doesn't take someone with little skill and make them great power hitters, but no question it enhances their hitting Plus Hank Aaron is cooler
They are all just playa hatin'. Yo yo. Seriously though, I really hope that this whole idiotic steroid deal doesn't leak into other major sports (other than American Football, but that's simply because I don't give a fuck about Football). Sports are slowly loosing their appeal as it is... so many new rules, regulations, fines, censorship, etc. How about the gambling addicted NBA ref? I bet Mark Cuban was fined for complaining about this ref as some point... and he was actually right about that one! He should sue the league
a lot of people dont' use steroids to get jacked...lots use it for the recovery benefits...hmm, baseball, 162 games in regular season...hmmm yea, i'm pretty sure that plenty of people other than "power-hitters" use for recovery
My biggest problem with sports and drugs is when they get pissed over other drugs. Take Culpepper and marijuana, per example... nigga just wanted to get a little high, and they make a big fuss out of it. Steroids aiding or not aiding in baseball... I guess one would have to find a source to prove that one. Yes, I won't even discuss Michael Vick. I hope that some insane ALF member kidnapps him and feeds him to all of his dogs.
I agree, I hate gangstas no matter if they are NFL players or not disgusting behavior, I was actually a little shocked when I read the specifics of the allegations god only knows what he has done to women
This only proves that having too much money and no brains can lead to a catastrophic finale. Shit, there goes Capitalism out the window.
The fact that he could make history tonight in Milwaukee is awesome, and since milwaukee is also is the home of Bud Selig, he has no excuse not to attend the game Hotwater
Well you don't have to travel that much to prove it i.e. Sony Computer Entertainment MLB 07: (Playstation 3) Hotwater
