I've had my psp for a while now, and the only game I've bought for it is Loco Roco. I've seen other people playing old playstation titles on theirs, but I'm not sure how to go about it. I've run into alot of homebrew talk, emulator talk and the like, but no mention of what I need to do or where to go to DL this shit on my PSP. I'm not exactly savvy with the thing, and I don't wanna fuck it up. Any help? Pretty please?
i gota psp to and i've been wondering for a while how to do this stuff. be careful, cause you may brick your psp if you download the wrong things (which ended up happening to my first psp). maybe check the official site or the official homebrew site. sorry i'm not much help, i'm in the same boat you are.
from what I understand so far, I would actually have to downgrade to even download homebrew (whatever the hell that is...) I was also reading that all of this info...like the games I would want, would have to be store on my memory stick. I don't have one of the 4g ones, mines just 1g. I was also reading that the newest umd's and what all coming out would ONLY be playable on an upgraded machine, and that many of them will come with the upgrade on them. I don''t know, it sounds like a whole lotta hassle to me. I would LOVE to be able to DL and play FF7 or any other of my old favs, but I'm not sure if it's worth all this.....
i advise that u dont download any homebrows, pmx games .etc because nothing is ever simple theres always this and that to do and something goes corrupt really dont bother its probably easy to work for the money and buy the games and you dont want ur psp to get bricked
the only way i know how to download games onto my PSP is by purchasing them from Playstation store, which is on the PS3.
screw that, those dirty bastards. I'm currently trying to download the OVA 'Last Order' (from FFVII: AC collector's edition) as an mp4, and I can't find it anywhere. I've used limewire with no success, and I downloaded bitTorrent but I've got NO CLUE how to find it. I'm not afraid to admit, I'm retarded.
*Ahem Ahem*.... From Wikipedia: When used in reference to electronics, "brick" describes a device which cannot function in any capacity (such as a machine with damaged firmware). This usage derives from the machine being considered "as useful as a brick." The term can also be used as a verb. For example, "I bricked my iPhone trying to get Python running on it." the PSP is notorious for this. If you breath too hard on your PSP, you're apparently likely to brick it.
shit dude whatever. I finally figured mine out....but before I did, I spent HOURS online trying to figure out the best way to do it. Ooooh, the horror stories! People downloading actual legit shit from the playstation site and that other shit through the PS3, and they still get all kinds of funked up. Like I said, if you so much as sneeze in another room, you might brick your PSP. User beware!
