Hello! When Sundance was about a year and a half years old he stared digging a den and then - ever spring for the next 3 years he made his den bigger and better to prepare for the hot summer months. Now a - days I figure that Sundance’s den could be the 8th wonder of the world in a couple of ways. #1 it’s a wonder on how much soil can be moved and how many huge roots can be cut and also moved with no tools. And it’s a wonder on how any body can think that an animal doesn’t have intelligence - they only have instinct. Sundance put a lot of thought into choosing the location of his den and he could have made his life much easier when he first started digging his den by choosing a location that would have been easier to excavate and also have a good access to wild game (not that Sundance eats wild game it just would have been an instinct thing) but he settled for an area where he could keep a good eye on the little misses and I. Ever now and then I would help Sundance by getting rid of the pile that he had through forward and I think in those times he worked like 10 men because he was thankful for the help. I also have a funny story about Sundae’s den. Once a buddy of mine paid us a visit for the first time so we gave him the grand tour starting with the wood shed. After he was surly impressed we showed him the hole that our dog had started digging and I suggested he have a good look at how big it was with his key chain flashlight – the light reflected off Sundance’s eyes and he jumped back. So I asked him what it was - a snake? You should have seen his face it was like God I hope not. After that I called Sundance out because he is part of our grand tour. Cheers!
Is Sundance a dog (likely), & if so what kind??? Also... pics??? That's really rad that you let him be all natural like that & not have it intrude on you.
Hehe, dogs do silly things. You should take some pictures to post for us, I bet it's a pretty cool little hideout.
Hello! I don’t have a photo of Sundance’s den right now so I did a forum search and found this photo I posted awhile back. Cheers!
